I ordered the MuellerHot/Cold Therapy Wrap to use for a torn rotator cuff. This is a godsend because you can freeze the pack that comes with the therapy wrap or you can microwave the pack for heat on your shoulder! Then this wrap will fit on your shoulder so you do not have to use a towel or hold the pack itself! I have used this and the Mueller Hot/Cold Wrap works very well! My shoulder was hard to move and I had to stand in a hot shower to stretch my arm before I got this therapy wrap. After wearing this my shoulder could stretch while I had the hot pack on! The Mueller Cold/Hot Pack Therapy really cuts down on the pain! After surgery I will still be using this!! Also this wrap can be used to wrap your ankle, knee, back, or any place a wrap is needed which makes the Mueller product very versatile!!! I will use this for years to come!

I recently had arthroscopic shoulder surgery to repair a bone spur, a frayed labrum, and impingement. I already knew I was going to have to ice the shoulder, so I bought this ice pack preemptively. Overall this is a nice kit at a very good price, though there area few caveats to be aware of.1. If you have a hurt shoulder, it's probably going to be difficult to get on at first. You have to slide your bad shoulder through the pack (it's adjustable at both ends for different sized arms). Then, toss the strap around behind your back, grab it underneath your good arm, pull it across your chest, and secure it to the other end of the strap. The part where you reach behind your back is cumbersome, but with some practice it's not all that bad.2. Secondly, the position of the ice pack in the wrap is fixed. You don't have much room to move it around. Why is this bad? Well, the natural position for the pack in the wrap is on the medial deltoid (the large shoulder muscle on the outside of your shoulder). The pack can shift up a bit to get the top of the shoulder, but the fit generally is not as secure in this position. If your shoulder is injured in the front or the back, you will have a DIFFICULT time properly icing it with this product. The wrap simply does not allow for easy front to back adjustment of the ice pack. This is a little disappointing for me because this was exactly the kind of icing I needed for my shoulder.3. The ice pack itself is super cold. The gel is wrapped in a fairly thin plastic which gets alarmingly cold to the touch after sitting in the freezer. The thin pouch the pack sits in inside the wrap provides a little insulation, but not much. You will probably need to wear a shirt while you ice because having this on your bare skin is going to be very intense. This is better than not getting cold enough, just be advised that using it like the guy in the picture above probably won't happen for anyone with average cold tolerance.So overall this is a good pack for general shoulder icing, though I wouldn't recommend it if your injury is in the front or back of the shoulder.

The product does a satisfactory job of securing the ice pack near my shoulder. I had a rotator cuff issue, and would have liked to have the ice pack stay on the top of the shoulder, but to do that requires periodic adjustments to the strap that goes around the chest, as the ice pack tends to slip down the shoulder to the deltoid muscle.. Since one should only ice for 20 minutes, this is not a big deal. The size of the ice pack is adequate to cover a large area, and the wrap itself is adjustable with the velcro straps. The same pack can be microwaved and used as a heat pack as well, though I have not tried using that way yet.UPDATE 8/13/2013After adjusting the straps again, I can now get the ice pack to sit comfortably on the rotator cuff area on the top of the shoulder. For what it does, and the price, I've changed this product's rating to 5 stars.

When I ordered this knee wrap I was expecting a compression wrap with pockets of elastogel material embedded in the wrap. (This expectation was based on the cut-away illustration.)In reality it is a neoprene "wrap" with plastic ice pockets situated on the front part of the knee. The ice part does not wrap all the way around the knee, and the ice is hard and uncomfortable when it is just out of the freezer. The ice area does extend above and blow the knee cap more than many ice wraps.It is not a bad product, but it is not as spectacular as the price would imply.

I really like how its easy to put on, only need a little help with the velcro that attaches to your back to hold it in place. I dont know why other reviews say the hot/cold pack is too small, its a good size, just may not be enough for a bigger man. I had a torn ligament, was putting a hot pack on my shoulder every night as i fell asleep. This helped to heal my arm faster b/c I could actually move around and get stuff done while being able to have the heat heal my body. Its nice, and I dont regret buying it. Always handy to have even after an injury heals, as the shoulder is one of the main overworked areas of everyones body.

The brace works real great was disappointed when I opened it and it had no ice or heat pack!

Item arrived on time as always via Amazon. Pleased with swiftness of delivery and application of product. So-much-so, that I ordered a SECOND purchase of the same item. Purchase price was beyond reasonable. Use mainly as a cold pack compress in oppose to a warm pack compress. Works to my specifications. Item is practical and modular at best. I'm happy with this purchase. Love, love, LOVE....this product. And will order again when wear-and-tear dictates.
