Lady Gaga: Applause

This is an absolutely brilliant book. I own many books about the immensely talented Lady Gaga but this one is by far the best and most comprehensive. The author, Annie Zaleski has done an amazing job as she has clearly done so much research into her subject and it shows in the writing and choice of beautiful imagery that fills this beautifully presented book. Most books about Lady Gaga only go as far as her Born This Way era but this book is completely up to date as it starts off with her early beginnings in New York right through to the Love For Sale era with the legendary Tony Bennett. As a massive Lady Gaga fan who was fortunate enough to see her in London as part of her Chromatica Ball Tour, I even learned things about the lady and her family that I didn’t know previously.Also included in this book is a comprehensive look into Gaga’s acting career as well as pages documenting her most iconic fashion looks throughout her career. Each section is divided into chronological order of her album releases and key moments from each of those eras. At the end of the book there is a breakdown of each of her albums which comprises track listings, notes on songwriting, recording, release and production notes etc. There is also a lovely section on how Lady Gaga has giving back to the community through her activism and Born This Way Foundation. All in all this is an absolute must have for any Little Monster (Lady Gaga’s affectionate term for her legions of fans). It would make a perfect gift for the Gaga fan in your life or an ideal treat for yourself. Trust me, Lady Gaga: Applause is a book to be treasured. Highly recommended :)

What a fabulous book! I love lady gaga, and this book is a must for any fan!!! Pictures throughout of her (let’s face it, she’s had some fantastic outfits!) and full of fascinating info about her, her inspiration and her life.

Full of amazing writing and great info I never knew. However the images are quite lackluster. Was looking for the ultimate coffee table book full of fashion and quirk like gaga and the layout and design just seems quite average. Was expecting more of a 2d exhibition of gagas excellency.

This was a fantastic book. I really enjoyed reading it and it was packed full of wonderful pictures. I am a big fan of lady gaga but love her boldness, wearing such unusual fashion. So this book was a perfect fit for me. I now feel like I really know her and that there is a really amazing woman behind the fantastic fashion. This book definitely took me on an amazing journey through the thrilling life of lady gaga. I really loved reading about the many costume changes at music awards. Also I learnt about the reasons behind the meat dress which is something I have always wondered. It was great learning how lady gaga made alot of her own outfits. And her talents in writing songs for other people. She is definitely a woman of many talents. I felt the author did an amazing job at portraying such an amazing musian. The layout was fantastic with a great mix of pictures and text. The book flowed amazingly and I loved every second. It was a real page turner that I just had to finish in one sitting.So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such an amazing and fascinating read.

This book is filled with interesting facts about lady gaga; from her beginning and the eruption of just dance all the way to movie star gaga and now chromatica! Lady gaga has had an amazing career and this book allows you to read through her career.This is a book for anyone who loves lady gaga… which must be everyone!

Purchased as a Xmas present for my granddaughter she loved it

I must admit I like exactly 1 of LG's songs (Born This Way) but I have the greatest respect for her accomplishments as an artist. This is a great read with lots of pix.
