SO COMFORTABLE-great for sciatica!
I have gone through so many pairs of sandals over the years in trying to find a comfortable pair that have a nice look to them but more importantly the mechanics to support the foot properly where needed so it can do its job in the way it's supposed to.You don't think that would be such a hard thing to find until you injure yourself and find yourself in pain on a near constant basis. I have three herniated discs, one protrusion and spinal stenosis coupled with sciatica in both legs courtesy of a motorbike accident years back.Needless to say, shoes are a very important commodity when it comes to proper posture and pain relief or at least subsiding as much as it can in correct stance.I previously had found the Skechers slides to be very comfortable the ones with the extra cushion. However, I noticed after time that standing still in them for too long or being out and about running errands for two big of a period of time my back would start to ache before I knew it.I had a pair prior to those of recovery slides. Just like these that I'm reviewing now where they are supportive and cushioned but the cushion is more solid so you are not stepping on a pillow as much as your stepping on a solid piece of earth. These are luckily just like the original I had in their design and I find these extremely comfortable. They have a good arch support to them and when I wear these around while trying to check off a million things for my list or if I do need to stand in line in place somewhere for a longer periods my back - while it's still hurts - It doesn't ache as quickly or as deeply.I am not saying at all that these are a cure all or the answer to sciatica. But I will say that I am a guy that lives in Florida and I work from home. So if I don't have to wear shoes I'm not going to and the next best thing is having a nice pair of slides to easily slip into and get you out the door. These are perfect in that respect. They're comfortable and they're not bad looking either. After owning a pair I have to say I don't care what they look like. I would wear them anyway. That's how impressed I am. Also, I will note that I'm leaving this review on a pair that is now my second. I enjoyed them so much. The first time I purchased that I had to buy a backup pair. This is definitely something that is going to remain in my shopping list essentials as long as they make them. And for you larger men out there, thankfully they come in a wide variety of sizes.Normally in a shoe I wear a size 14 and I did purchase these in a 14 but they were not as comfortable and felt like they ran a little small. So I purchased a 15 - It blew my mind that they even carried a size 15 because anyone who has bigger feet knows that is hard to find - But the 15 was perfect.I would definitely recommend sizing up if you're in between and I highly recommend just picking up a pair and giving them a shot because you'll definitely be pleasantly surprised and happy with your purchase.

Surprisingly comfy
So I had just bought some Oofos and wanted to get some slippers to wear around the house. I have a case of plantar fasciitis and hard wood floors, so I need something to cruise around the house in that have some good absorption. With these being about half the price of Oofos, I thought I would give them a shot. I am usually about a 10.5 to 11, so I bought the 11’s. They were way too big length wise and the strap across the top was loose. I thought about sending them back, but remember someone complained about them shrinking when they let them in their hot car. (It may have been a similar slip on, I read a lot of reviews on other sandals). So I decided to risk it and stick then in the oven at 200 degrees for about 5 minutes. They were originally about 3/4” too big and they had shrunk about 1/2” after 5 minutes. I left them in a couple more minutes and let them cool down. They were the right length, but not the strap was uncomfortably tight.Oh no! I thought I had just tossed $30 down the drain. Nothing to lose now, so I put them back in the oven for a couple minutes (enough for them to get very warm, pulled them out of the oven and slipped them on. They were uncomfortably hot on my bare skin, so I put on some very thin socks, sat down and slipped them back on. (I didn’t want to walk around in them and compress the footbed while still warm.) I waited until they cooled. I tried them on again without socks and they fit perfectly! Literally form fitted to my feet.I have been doing a lot of remodeling around my house lately and have been wearing these a lot and my feet do not hurt at all even after 5-6 hours of being on my feet. I only wear these indoors. I would hesitate wearing them out on the hot pavement for an extended period of time, or leaving them in my hot car for fear they will shrink. These are very comfortable! These are not as soft as Oofos, but they keep my feet from getting sore all the same, and they seem like they will not break down as fast as the Oofos. Fingers crossed.

It's nothing crazy
It wasn't all I expected but little support is better than none, I could feel the adjustment. I got the recommended size (10) this caused a blister on the side of my arch, I had to use baby oil to get relief from that. After 3 weeks of wearing the sandals it conformed to my feet (breaking in period possibly). I wear it regularly at work and walking to work. The cushion was hard at first but it became softer with time (I don't know if it was because of the hot tropical climate or the weight of my body relaxing the rubber). It's not softness to give praises about but you could feel it. I have shin splints these might have helped me live with the pain but I am not sure. Don't buy these thinking it's a miracle worker for pain if you have. For flat feet it's something better than nothing. These are too expensive if you ask me should cost $20 or less

Excellent value
When I first tried these on the heel seemed very high. After 3-4 hours the heel squatted down to a regular compression. Now they are very comfortable.

Do Not Place in Dryer
I've had these for a few months and thought they were holding up well. They were also comfortable. My only complaint was that they must be cleaned frequently because they absorb and magnify foot odor. I don't have that problem with any of my other shoes and have not had that problem with previous flip-flops I have worn.I have been using charcoal inserts overnight, and that helped more than merely wiping the surface with soap or sanitizer. However, none of that will matter now. I wore them outdoors on our first day of snow here in Maine. Upon returning, I put them in the dryer for a few minutes to dry them off, and they shrunk to an unusable size. If you buy these, don't place them in the dryer, not even for a few minutes.

Comfortable
I usually wear 9 1/2. Ordered size 9. Fits perfectly. Love the thick sole. Very happy with them. Andy
