I bought this one for a softball bat and the other one they sell for a baseball bat. There is not much difference in them except that the softball one has an ever so smaller hole than the baseball one to "fit" the 2 1/4" bats better. Truthfully, I think this softball weight should be used for youth baseball bats up to 2 5/8" barrels and the baseball weight on the softball bats as they position themselves on the bats better, in my opinion. As far as an adult baseball bat goes, the baseball weight is just fine. For this weight specifically, I have no idea why they need to make the top opening so wide as softball bat barrels aren't very wide to begin with. The would eliminate the space between the weight and barrel which feels slightly awkward. Not enough to bother you, just noticeable. Also, while this feels light when holding in your hands, for whatever reason it feels heavier when on the bat and your swinging with it. I think this weight is perfect for kids and teenagers, and good for adults. Personally, I'd prefer a heavier one, but would have not problems using this one.

I use it to warm up before batting. It seems to keep the bat feel more balanced as opposed to the weighted ring.

I’ve been using the Varo 12oz bat weight a couple days a week for 3 weeks. I’ve increased the distance by a noticeable amount, now being able to hit multiple HR’s on a 255’ softball field with 12’ gate. I struggled to reach the track not long before using the VARO.

Good to use little heavy for 12u kids but makes the diffrence when they bat! Sometimes very hard to remove from the bats.

Worth every penny. Well made and fits perfectly. Easy to get on and off. Don't let the seemingly light weight of it fool you. My daughter is a strong girl and it is plenty heavy to do its job. If you're looking for something to build strength this is the one to buy.

Having had a a bat sleeve for bat weight for many years (which has taken a lot of the markings off) I needed another type. The Varo is perfect for that change as it won't scratch you bat and the use for warm-up is ideal.

Fits all the existing softball bats I have and the team loves the ability to warm up before going up to bat. Definitely recommend.
