My wife LOVED these. Absolutely giftable. Delivered in styrofoam-lined box with cooling pack, so not green, but still, otherwise would be difficult to keep from melting on the way. Since we are super careful about carbon footprint, we let this one slide for an infrequent, over-the-top gift. These are absolutely exquisite (I snuck a bite)!!! Get these for someone you love.

After 2 days of trying these (I had to make it last) I can easily say, 1: I love Belgium chocolate, and 2: these are the highest quality chocolate nougatines I've ever had. There are 5 chocolate versions with a total of 12. I'll try not to talk too much on each flavor, but every single version was amazing. All of them are handcrafted because you can't make these without human touch. Coated with a thick and rich chocolate outer layer with cream in the middle. The texture feels amazing, a light crunch at first, then chewy. It even smells amazing! My favorite was the Désir because it had the most chocolate obviously!The presentation was beautiful, it includes a page with some bonus info on the brand Neuhaus, and the different types of nougatines. But most importantly, it's all made and crafted in Belgium, which is a must have for real Belgium chocolate.

I've been able to try some other "gourmet" chocolate boxes that were expensive but absolutely not worth it, as they were essentially drug store candy with a huge price mark up.These, however, are not like that at all. You can kind of tell from just the box that these aren't from someone trying to rip you off, and then you open it and see the chocolates...and these are definitely higher end chocolates. The quality of the pieces is evident in the looks of them, and they were larger than I expected. The chocolate is smooth and rich, but I'm not a big fan of the chewiness of this set. I've had other chocolates from Neuhaus that I absolutely loved, but ones like this with nougatine aren't my favorites.It's really hard to convey quality in a review, and I can just say that I am very impressed with the quality of these (and all of the Neuhaus chocolates that I've tried). These certainly aren't a personal favorite of mine due to the texture, but there's no questioning the quality of the candies. This company makes some wonderful chocolates.

So this is about as good a chocolate as you'll find - each selection is rich, but subtle, sweet but not cloying, and each piece has enough distinct flavor to stand apart from the others. Some have a coffee vibe or others are more chocolate focused.The box is a professional presentation and is perfect for a gift or to buy yourself. The chocolates will be easily stored until eating.This is on the high-end. You get what you pay for!

These chocolates are well packaged and very presentable -- looks like a high end gift. For me though the flavors are not doing it. It is a weird mix of high coco content chocolate and centers of weird compliments. I am usually a milk chocolate kind of person, this is none of that. The coffee centers are the least desirable ones for me (and I love coffee) as the chocolate pairing is kind of bitter. Even the milk chocolate ones do not taste like high quality, or perhaps it is so high quality I do not know what it should taste like?The box is the best part about these chocolates, it is well packaged and looks high end but the contents were not my kind of chocolate.

This chocolate is AMAZING. I love the flavors, and the texture of the nougatine is incredible. I'm taking my time to savor each piece, but OMG, I'd buy this again at full price. There are 12 pieces for 5 flavors, so one flavor is doubled up, but each piece of chocolate takes a couple bites to get through. It's very expensive, but sooooooo delicious!

In general Neuhaus makes very good chocolate, comparable to any of the high brand chocolatiers and better than some.That being said, this is not my favorite of their offerings. The candy in the filling adds a chewiness that I don't want from my chocolates (other than caramel filled) - and it's added here into all the flavors. For me, that detracts from my enjoyment. Obviously, this is a personal taste choice. And the chocolate part is good.

This chocolate is really high quality and delicious. There are 12 chocolates of different types. All of them, though, have chocolate on the outside, nougatine in the middle, and different flavors of ganache in the middle. The chocolates are very nicely presented.To me, the nougatine layer seemed chewy and a bit hard. I have tried more than half of the chocolates so far, and they are all this consistency. I would have liked for it to be light and crispy. The best-by date is about 2 months from time of receipt. So I guess it's a matter of how you expect nougatine to be to determine if you would like these. Again, the chocolate itself is very high quality.
