Was ideal for checking a possible fault after son-in-law tested positive for CO. Found source was not in home but was in fact from car.

This detector seems to work, however I do think it is massively affected by moisture. Battery life is ok, I hadn't used it for more than 10mins at a time so can't comment on prolonged usage. It's easy to use, although you do have to wait for it to stabilise after turning it on (it has a count down). Overall, the quality seems fine for it's price.

For the money it's great tried it on the car hot and cold readings very interesting. Evan took it work tried on lorry it's suprising how clean truck exhurst are now days. Bought to test boiler mainly but also tested for leaks all around it.

simple to use...worked well for me so far

We are moving to a place with a wood-burner, and have bought some wall-mounted CO alarms, of course. This popped up on our Amazon search, and it looked useful.... The pocketability makes it handy for doing a search for escaping CO, the display is clear, and it responds much faster than the wall-mounted ones we have. All of them agree on the CO detection for alarm purposes, and the ones with a display agree within about 5% on the CO percentage. We tested this with a test can of CO sprayed into a clear plastic bag with all four devices inside.Because of its almost-instantaneous response, I would recommend this one over the wall-mounted ones for searching (since some of them could be used that way).If you do find Carbon Monoxide, you want to know promptly! Get outside, fast!We do not have gas calibration hardware, so cannot do more than estimate the accuracy compared with other domestic CO sensors, but they did all agree reasonably, therefore we would (cautiously) recommend this one because of its fast response.

This CO detector works well and is relatively easy to use. My gripe with it is the manual, it is somewhat lacking and not fully explained. An example is, the detector beeps at 30 and above...the manual doesn't say how to increase from the 30.
