Goya Small Red Beans, 4 lb

I like cooking my own beans and these are very tasty.

Another GREAT addition to your 'Plan B' staples back-up. (Don't forget 'Success Rice'... fool-proof because, in a pinch, you can't afford to 'blow it' by messing up cooking the rice!). Besides, it ain't gonna go bad....AND, it's NOT loaded with salt!

I have trouble finding salt free red beans in my local grocery store (Krogers). Cooking your own beans is very easy, so I ordered these. They were clean. When prepared, they were tasty.

These beans are great plus come so clean you don't have to sort and pick out . Just wash once that's it. Great order really satisfied

I love this brand of beans and have gotten many different varieties over the years. I have never had this problem with them before. I bought these to make chili beans as I have done many times in the past.I soaked them over night and only half swelled. So I left them for 24 hours - it didn’t help. So I thought if I canned them, maybe the canning would soften up and cook the hard beans. What a waste of my time.While the hard ones did cook and soften up some, they still weren’t right. I even tried overcooking the beans afterwards. The ones that had soaked became mush and still the hard ones never got as soft as cooked beans should be.I still love this brand of beans and will continue to get them - from the grocery store where I never have had this problem. I will not be ordering beans online again - or at least not from this vendor.

We were trying to order adzuki beans via goya.com. Unfortunately, we thought these were adzuki beans with Anglicized packaging, as we saw no Goya beans offered online as adzuki bean, which Goya purportedly sells. These beans, however, are noticeably bigger than adzuki. Disappointed.
