This is my second go-round with Komachi knives. After about 15-20 years, the ceramic on my pink chef's knife started to chip off. Since I liked my original knife so much, I was delighted to find this 8-pc set. The set contains just about any knife you might need in your kitchen. They're very sharp and each one comes with a protective sheath. Each knife is a different color so you know which knife to use when prepping your meals. The set is exactly as pictured. They are not recommended for washing in the dishwasher, but the ceramic coating makes them super easy to clean. They are also beautifully balanced. I'm hoping for another 15 years of use, like my first knife, which was a stand alone purchase with no sheath. I'm expecting the sheaths in this Komachi set to protect the ceramic coating and the knives' sharp edges.

had purchased similar set at big box years ago. these were gift and recip. ditched their old knives after using these. sharp & durable with knife for about any purpose and for her the high vis colors are a plus

What I didn’t like…. Not as sharp as my first two sets , in the past ten years.

Well balanced, stays sharp and they're easy to find because of the bright colors. Cleansup's a breeze, too. Love the covers!! Cuts from digging through drawers looking for the right knife are a thing of the past!Sharpest knives I've owned in 50 years.
