Great driver!
I really like this driver. What can I say? It works. No more getting stick trying to attach deck boards with screws that almost go down- but not quite. I can remove older screws, too. It's lightweight and has plenty of torque.

Disappointed with the Performance and Durability
I had high expectations for the RYOBI ONE+ HP 18V Brushless Cordless Impact Driver, but it is disappointing in many ways. The power and speed they talk about look good in advertisements, but when using it, not so much.At beginning, torque output seem very good. But after just few weeks, tool start having trouble with simple jobs like driving screws into hard wood. Motor get too hot even when used not much time and performance become not steady anymore. Even though the "brushless motor" feature is there, I not see much better performance compared to my older models with brushes. The build quality not very good. The casing feels cheap, and it started to show wear almost right away, even though I used it gently in my home garage. The variable speed trigger is a good feature, but it can be tricky and does not give the smooth control I thought it would. To make things more difficult, this is a tool-only purchase. This means you have to buy the battery and charger separately if you do not already own ones that work with it. Considering the price, spending extra money on these makes it an even less good deal.Overall, I feel unhappy with this buy and wouldn't suggest it to others. For paying over $80, I thought it would be much stronger and dependable. It’s frustrating that RYOBI didn’t deliver on their promises.

Ryobi Impact driver
Great unit, it is small but powerful. It allows you to get into tight spaces. I used it to install closet racks. Lot of power. I had to gradually pull the trigger to gradually drive my screws, if you do pull the trigger all the way make sure you are straight because the torque on this thing is very strong and it is easy to screw in at an angle.

Works great.
Works great - reliable and well-made, like all my Ryobi power tools.

No magnetic beer holder – no tool belt clip
This is a good, well built tool. I bought it to replace a similar model I wore out... which has been discontinued. The reason I didn't give it a fifth star is on account of Ryobi choosing to eliminate the magnetic bit holder and the tool belt clip which the previous version included. I really miss both these features on this newer version.

Rusty fasteners and deck screws will come loose.
The first time, I used this tool was for 6 hours to remove 3" deck screws from a pressure treated 2" X 6" deck boards. If the #25 Torx bit did not spin in the head, the screw came out. Some screws broke off if the trigger was squeezed to hard. A light touch allowed the driver to "hammer" or break the screw loose, then easy removal. My second job with this tool was nut removal on my truck's tail pipe to catalytic converter. I was using a premium brand 1/4" hex X 3/8" square adapter and 9/16" hex socket. Two of the nuts broke free very quickly. The third nut did not budge and the adapter broke. The nut came off with a manual 18" breaker bar. This is a compact and powerful tool. I would not recommend it for overhead work, but for anything else it is great. I would never use it to install sheetrock on a ceiling.
