It's really not too soft but very light weight and nice for the summer. I love the comforter regardless

I searched and searched for a comforter to match the color of my walls, a dark terra cotta, but with a light background - I wanted to brighten up my room. This one looked great, and had a lot of terrific reviews. But it cost 3- to 5-times more than most of the other comforters I was looking at, so I was hesitant. I really liked the colors and the pattern, and dive the reviews were so good, I decided to go for it. Too bad. I was disappointed as soon as I opened the bag. The comforter is very light, which was mentioned in the reviews, I will definitely have to add another layer when it cools down. The fabric bothers me the most. It is terribly flimsy, has to be a super low thread count, I'm not sure how long it's going to hold up. And it wrinkles like crazy. I try to smooth it out when I make the bed, but it stays crumpled looking. It's bigger than most comforters I've had, but still doesn't reach the bottom of the mattress on both sides. Makes new very sad because I really like the way it looks, but it definitely was not worth the $150+ I paid for it.EDITED to add: I've had the comforter for a couple of months now. I live in Florida and we've had an unusually cool December with nights in the 50s. That generally requires and extra blanket, but I have been quite cozy under this comforter alone. Just the right weight for cool nights. I do still love the colors and pattern, it's exactly what I wanted to brighten my room. Still not thrilled with the quality of the fabric or the print. The print only matters when you get to close to look and who does that besides me? When you walk in the door it looks great. The fabric still looks consistently crumpled, and it seems to take dirt like a magnet. Of course my two dark cats love to sleep on the white parts, but from the very first nap they left dark stains. They are not dirty cats and this doesn't happen on other furniture. ?

This comforter is cheerful, and the colors are muted. It looks just as pictured. I’m very happy with the purchase of this lightweight comforter.

The photos of this set show much more vibrant colors than what they actually are. I purchased the orange/gray combination and the orange is more of a pale washed-out rust color. Overall the colors look drab and muddy. The printing of the pattern is patchy and the fabric isn't great quality. The overall look is cheap. It looked so nice in the photos. This got packed back up for return the same day it arrived.

The colors are NOT as advertised...paler.

This comforter is soft and silky without looking cheap. It is lightweight and the color blend is perfect for a King sized bed because it blends in subtly rather than take over the decor of the room. Really a beautiful design and the colors are very classy and nice.
