I had cataract surgery and needed some eye guards to protect my eyes from being rubbed, scratched, or otherwise damaged while I was sleeping. I read the reviews for these and decided to chance it and I'm glad I did. I never intended to use the elastic band to hold them on and that seemed to be where the majority of the complaints were. I ised paper tape on them and they worked just fine for what I needed. It's not comfortable having something hard plastic on your face over your eye, but these did qiite well and we're delivered quickly. They are a good size to fit and cover up my eyes.

I wore the patch the first night of my cataract operation.I woke u with a huge red welt across my farhead. It took about a week for the Ted/Sore welt to go away.

This shield worked fine for me, but did have some things I had to work around. Firstly, the string holding it on tightens using a plastic knob - that knob is going to be somewhere on your head making it uncomfortable to lie on that side. On a positive note, that did make it easy to remember NOT to lie on that side while I was healing. The shield had a slight curve to it, which helps keep it from touching your eye, but I had some issues with finding and keeping it in the position where it felt both stable and also away from my eye and lashes. This might be just my issue.

The eye shield uses a thin elastic strap to hold the shield in place. Works great after cataract surgery when you have to wear a shield over the eye at night to protect it. Avoids having to use adhesive tape. String could be a little longer. Fit me but can understand how some found it too short. You could use 2 strings and tie them together so it fits. If your only buying it for cataract surgery one time use using both string works.

I had cataract surgery and need a patch that I can use at night without tape. Discovered the elastic band on this is uncomfortable. Additionally, it is only useful for the day if your face is big enough. Mine is not.

Very disappointed in this product. After putting the rope through the hole and tying a knot, it is necessary to leave excess rope in order to tighten knot if it becomes loose. However, after leaving some excess, the rope fits much too tight to be comfortable. No need to have an adjustable rope with a string that is far too short to begin with. The hole for the string could easily have been bigger to allow the rope to go through easier. This could be a good product, but needs some simple improvements. Would not buy again.
