This definitely leaves a semi-matte finish. When I use an air cushion that leaves a matte finish and then I use a finishing powder on top of it it goes on smoothly. However anytime a cushion is dewy, or semi-matte I can feel a bit of stickiness when my powder brush glides across my face. I love Hera skin care products and was very excited for this cushion when heard of its release. It has a very sexy packaging and the finish of the product on the face is very nice. I believe individuals who are looking for a semi-matte (meaning matte with a slight dewy look) finish this is a product you should try. However for myself that prefers a complete matte finish I will continue to use other products and alternate with this one when I want something different for the day.
