Makes a great Poltergust
With a lot of work, this thing was a great starting point for this project. Sanded down the whole thing and gave it a paint job to remove the vacuum decals and to obstruct the "dust bin." When I opened it up, I discovered that the vacuum sound was just a spinning 12v motor with a fan blade. I disconnected the original power switch and solder the positive and negative wires to a momentary button on the bottom side of the PVC handle. I ran the wires down the vacuum tube. To run the wires, I had to drill a hole in the red vacuum shell behind the black cap as well as the black cap that connects the hose to the vacuum. For the handle, I scoured Home Depot for PVC couplers that fit over a sink downspout. The downspout runs the entire length of the handle for rigidity. The couplers are just for differing thickness. The corrugated pipe mid handle was cut from a flexible sink pipe. Everything was epoxied in place and then painted. For the front cone, I used a plastic gutter downspout and cut acrylic sheets to fill the sides. I wired the led light on the front to be controlled by the red switch on the handle. The cone was glued and then screwed to the handle for extra rigidity. For the green "chamber" light on the back, it's just a puck light with a shower knob epoxied onto it.The backpack straps were an Amazon suggestion. I suggest against them because they came with metal clasps, but there is no where to clip them to on the vacuum. I ended up grinding off the metal clasps, dremeling slits on the back of the vacuum, feeding the straps through, and epoxying them down on the inside.I removed the "dust collection bin" so I could drill a hole for the petentiometer dial and Dremel a cutout for the red switch. These are just for looks as they are hooked to nothing, but in the future, I will wire the green "chamber" light to be controlled by the red toggle switch.

Looks great!
I can't speak to much more than this looks well made and looks like it will be a lot of fun for our grandson who loves to vacuum. Looks exactly like the adult version :)

Not as chintzy as expected!
I bought this several months ago for my 1.5 yo who loves my canister vac. It had to be a canister vac! It’s not a bad toy IMHO. I did just tape the handle to the sweeper due to a small crack, and the fact they take it apart all the time...but I have a 1.5 and 4 yo (boys if you think it makes a difference) and dude things break, I’m surprised this is still alive at all! I think it’s pretty sturdy. They sit on it, stand on it, drop it over the baby gate, off the couch, and narry a scratch really. I put felt pads on the wheels and broom head because it was noisy in our wood floor but they are nice wheels. I just put batteries in it for the first time today and it’s a nice quiet sound. I expected something obnoxious based on other reviews. It’s a beautiful replica and I’m pretty happy with it for 30 some odd bucks.

Kids love it!
My grandson is obsessed with vacuum cleaners. He is four years old and when he received this on his birthday, he hadn’t stopped playing with it since! He loves everything about it. Couldn’t have found a toy he would have liked better!

Grandson Loves It!
My grandson loves doing what mommy or daddy are doing. When they bring out their vacuum, he loves to grab the hose and vacuum. I saw this and it looks just like their vacuum. Best money I ever spent! He loves turning it on and hearing it run (there is no suction). He 'vacuums' the kitchen floor, family room and dining room! So proud of himself when he's helping mommy and daddy. The hose hasn't come off and the vacuum itself is light weight for him to pull it around. Was the perfect find because it looks like their real vacuum!

Worst one yet
So let me explain to you my son has a vacuum Obsession we have every vacuum that is offered through Google and Amazon even vacuums I have to order from the UK Amazon this has to be the worst one out of them all not only will the sound of it make your eardrums bleed but it's flimsy thin plastic the rod that holds the pieces together already snapped my son's not even rough with them whatever you do don't get a kid that's actually going to try to use it and pull it around the house because it will keep coming right apart and I don't even think Crazy Glue would hold it together and the balls that are inside that are supposed to move around once it's on do not move at all so please anything else but the save your money and I can't believe the price of this and it doesn't even offer any function it's just one button and a noise thin cheap plastic for the amount I paid I would say it's only worth 5 maybe $15 at the most

Missing parts
Nicely made but the battery cover was missing so we can't use the vaccum. Was planning on using it for a halloween costume so not sure what I am going to do now.
