Saraswati - Hindu Goddess of Knowledge, Music & Art …

I have a few statues of Saraswati, and this is obviously the best I have. I was very happy with the quality of the work, and the detail of this statue. I would definitely buy more like it in the future. It is on the small side, as far as my other statues go, but I feel like the craftsmanship more than makes up for the price I paid. I felt it was reasonable, considering that I've been to a few shops that sell similar figures, and this exceeds the normal level of craftsmanship I usually see. If i saw something like this in a shop, I would expect to pay significantly more. Very happy with my purchase.

Just received this idol of Saraswati-ji. It is really beautiful and does not look small (insignificant) to keep in a shrine or even on a side table. Details are really well done. One thing though I did not notice in the picture is that the head is just a little bit tilted to the left. I would have preferred a straight head and the chin a little up..but none of this takes away from the beauty of the idol.

I am not Hindu but loved this statue as a representation of knowledge, music and art. Statue does not disappoint in its coloring and details. I tend to like asian influenced art work so this statue fit in beautifully between 2 vases I have with Indian influences. It also is displayed very close to stereo system and book shelves so it seemed to be perfect for my purposes.

I've had an interest in Cultural Anthropology and World Religions since my days in school, and have been collecting replicas of religious deities. The display boxes are three separated boxes in each column at two feet wide two feet deep with an arch that peaks in the center of each column at 18 inches, over all 4'9" tall there are three figurines in each box and a storage area at the bottom with two 16" Roman and Greek Figurines on top of each column. The over all theme of the deities being Health, Knowledge and Justice.Well I was I was looking forward to this adding this figurine to the Hindu collection. Each collection is of three and this was going to be the third of the Hindu collection, but I was so disappointed in the size and weight of this statue I'm going to have to replace it. I made a poor assumption that like the other statues I've bought the Hindu statues would also be near and very close to the same size, weight and quality within a certain price zone, but this wasn't the case here. This statue does have very nice detail, but it's size is a problem for me in that it's obviously so much smaller than the others in the Hindu display. The other figurines in the Buddhist and Hindu collection average 6.5 to 7 inches tall, so I was really shocked seeing how small this one was. I went back to the page and I saw that it stated it was a 5.5 inch tall statue, but ntil this purchase I've haven't had this much variation in figurines in the same general price. The others where also made and sold by a different company, which probably explains the variation in size and weight but I've noted this and now I know who to what out for.Over all it's a nice statue and though I really wanted this pose of Saraswati, I did not want to spend over a certain amount on each piece. Unfortunately most of the others I've found of this pose of Saraswati have been much larger and allot more expensive. This figurine does have great detail, but it feels pretty light and doesn't match the other two in anyway. So if you're not planning to place this figurine near others of this type I'm sure you're going to be pleased with it. I like it and have no plans to return it, but it's the same ole lesson "never assume anything....". So check the size and weight before making your purchase and decide if you can deal with it. As mentioned above this one is not going in with the others to display, but I will find a place for it somewhere.

Not made of metal of any sorts... RESIN... is pretty but for the price....

Very nice bronze tone with muted colors. Not unlike the product shown on the website, so no disappointment. No damage or flaws and very good service from seller. Like the size and art. No complaints.

didn't realize it was going to be ... not exactly bronze.I read the description and assumed.turns out:"cold cast bronze" is apparently either metal mixed with resin, or resin coated with bronze metal.rather disappointed.but the statue itself is quite nice depiction, so I'll keep it.

my whole family was awestuck by the beauty of the Lord Saraswati idol as soon as we unpacked it from the box. After reviewing numerous idol picures in several websites I found this authentic metalic powder coated idol and immediately deicided that this is one we need to get.I highly recommend the high quality idol to inspire and adore your puja room.
