I use this as sub for my entertainment center. I have it hooked up to a little 100w amp so I’m not even pushing it very hard. Sounds great and has some nice deep bass for a 10” speaker. I have some top of the line 12” speakers for my guitar cabinets that only get down to 70Hz so the bass on this 10” sounds lower. If you are looking for a good quality inexpensive speaker, go with this one. It’s actually made by Pyle and they’ve been around for a long time.

I purchased these woofers as a replacement for some very old speaker components from my first pair of speakers in 1978. I put these in early 2010 and they still sound great. I just had to replace my tweeter too and together they sound as good as any 500 dollar pair of speakers you'd buy at Best Buy or Ovation or HH Gregg.

Nice speakers Very heavy magnets. These are 8 ohm woofers, not subwoofers...for replacing 10" woofers on home theater speakers. I have an old pair of Sony 3-way speakers and they still run strong, but the old woofers dry rotted. The tweeters and mid-ranges still work great, so buying these was a great way to keep those speakers going. Sound is great and they handle deep tones very well. They fit right in. Rear wire connectors are very beefy spring loaded units. Very impressed!

My brother blew the original sub in my Logitech z-5500 surround sound speakers. It's a little difficult to find an 8ohm 10" sub but this works perfectly. The sound quality is at least as good as the original and it is definitely louder. For anyone replacing their z-5500 sub, this sub will fit nicely once you drill a few new holes in the enclosure.

They were both blown when I got them so they sent me a second pair and both were also blown too bad product don't buy!!!!

not 500 or 250. I have a cheap 100 watt amp and i could blow this sub if i wanted to. All that said it does sound okEdit: 4 months later it still works. I put it along with another 8 ohm sub in my car wired in parallel (4ohm load) to a 200watt amp and it adds a nice bit off bass.

Ive had these speakers in the early 90s and knew their capabilities. I actually used them for my bass guitar amp. Wired them for 4 ohms and what a sound! Great buy!

I bought this speaker to replace a blown sub woofer speaker. Installing was a little tricky as this speaker is slightly bigger that the one it replaced and the wiring connection was a little different but these were minor issues. The speaker has worked fine in a powered sub woofer for that last 5 months. I paid $23.91 which made this quite a bargain.
