Salted Cod Bacalao - Baccala 5 pounds Premium Filet - Dried Salt Cod Without Bone or Skin

The quality of the Bacalao is unreal. At first I was scared to make this purchase because is seems a little high for bacalao. The price is on point for what I received. The fish is thick, fresh, no skin, no bones, perfectly salted. It is the best quality bacalao I have had since moving to Louiana. Shipment was perfectly packaged. I will definitely buy from here again.

This salt cod (bacalao) came in about 4 pieces - each one a complete filet. Although it's very salty, it's obviously very fresh too. I read that despite being preserved, it's best to keep in a tightly sealed bag in the refrigerator. I'm soaking a piece now in filtered water that I change a couple of times.This is a specialty item that is used in certain recipes - like fish stew or fish cakes.This product is superior to some others because the bones and skin have been removed.

Thank you so very much for this high quality product… it truly brings memories of Portugal and the dried cod fish that we called bacalhau.

Got the fish delivered a day early and the pieces of fish were beautiful and the price was fair. I will certainly buy it again from them and I will tell all my friends……..

This was my second time purchasing this product. The first time it was excellent. The second time, the product arrived dripping wet in water, and it was a bit smelly. It also arrived as several small pieces, almost like scrap. It appears that the seller is trying to cut cost by wetting the product to increase the weight.

Nice but it was sent it wet, so it weighted more, unfortunately.

Not sure it was 5 lbs.
