New BalanceMen's Fresh Foam X Defender SL Golf Shoe

First, it is a size 16. I returned it for being too short and too snug. I had my foot recently measured and it was a US 15 for the left foot and a 15 1/2 for the right. I have Footjoy golf shoes size 15 that was roomier. But I have New Balance size 15 sneakers that fit beautifully, so that was the rationale behind my size choice after I did my homework. If New Balance had a size 17 in this shoe I would reorder for it but wider--but they don't. Lastly, it is a beautiful shoe. I wish I could get a size that fit. I recommend the shoe--just get the fit right.

The media could not be loaded. Once you get these shoes in your hands you see how they are waterproof. The body is a semi flexible synthetic material fused to the sole. It looks like it should work and remain waterproof for a long time. A hard rain could be a problem, as water coming from above will leak around the thin tongue that is not attached to the uppers on the sides. Tongue is not padded. I elected to wear these to some outdoor soccer games on wet fields to break them in before next week's golf. If you are a walker, you may want to break them in a little. If you are a cart rider, you should be fine as they feel pretty comfortable out of the box. Based on other reviews, I ordered a half size larger. My shoes seem to be true to size and did not run small. I wear very thick athletic socks when golfing, so these should be fine. Construction seems to be good quality but tongue design is lacking.

Great golf shoes, but they run a half size small. I own several pairs of New Balance sneakers and golf shoes they’re all the same size and fit perfectly. These however were way to small in my normal size, so order at least a half size up.

Very tight and didn't have a bigger and wider size to try.

Bought these for my son who is a size 14. So hard to find shoes in his size especially golf. He loves new balance and took a chance. They fit perfectly and said they are like wearing tennis shoes. They held up in the rain and mud too. Would buy again.

Completely different from almost all other new balance shoes. Very strange.
