Amlogic S905X4 Android 11.0 TV Box X4 Pro - 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM, Dual-WiFi 2.4GHz/5GHz, BT, Quad Core 64 Bits, 3D/8K 100M Smart Box

The speed was just fine when I first got it but it was bad news from there on. I could get an internet connection with my cell phone, computer and other devices but not on this TV Box. I could not see some of the networks and could not make a wireless connection with the networks I could see. My other devices could see many more devices. I used the Ethernet connector with a repeater and cable. It worked at half the speed on the box than it did while connected to my computer which was much farther away from the router. The wireless connection worked fine and then just would not connect anymore. The problem was not caused by over heating as I mounted it to a usb fan to keep it cool so it had something to do with the electronics inside the box. I cant find any vendor or questions to see if this could be resolved which is bad. Stay away from this one. I have used at least 7 or 8 boxes over the year so I have a good working knowledge.

Doing a review because there is conflicting information on this product, sometimes isn't the seller's or marketplace fault, some manufacturers marketing can be simply confusing.The device came in a nice black package layout nicely with a remote, HDMI cable, power adapter, and instructions for firmware updates, which there was no updates. My first impression was how tiny this box felt on the palm of my hand, and later how well it performed during testing. It comes with Android 11 non ARM64, seems to be the tablet version, and I'd no issues or errors running the OS. This box is rooted and can be easily disabled on settings, but the way the internal flash memory is layout for the system files on Android 10 and 11, you simply cannot be able to modified system files as is. In other words, blocking malware, bad domains/IPs or ads with the system host file might not work. YouTube ran smoothly playing all 4K60fps formats available including AV1 content, 8K25fps wasn't tested, but it struggled on a higher quality 8K video (not meant for it anyway). It has Netflix (I didn't test it), but due to not being licensed for using Netflix other reviewers on the internet claim it will only run at 480p. Not an issue if 'Smart' TVs can do it easily. A quick test after updating KODI to version 19.4 ran flawlessly, and noticed the speed of this CPU compared to my dinosaur box.A personal quirk would be the ventilation are only on the sides, those lines at the top are just for aesthetics, it also doesn't have a power button on the unit. It would be nice to actually turn off my devices when not in use to hopefully save energy and prolong their life. When managing turning off the unit rather than being suspended/sleep, you'll have to re-plug for powering up again. I didn't test their HDMI cable nor remote, the launcher was also replaced with ATV. Tests were done using a wired connection, I cannot say how it performs wirelessly. One note, the ethernet connection detected on my 1GB router was only 100Mbps, whether this isn't a 1GB device I cannot say because my old home office PC doesn't register its full speed on that particular router.Overall, it's a nice box, but I prefer a more ventilated unit, this model average price is around $55, the 32GB-ROM version should be -$5. Currently, Amazon is the only place offering free returns while having stock in the USA. I hope the description is fixed to the actual specifications because this seems to be a nice device, if it is exactly what you want.Take care guys!
