Mele Macs (Chocolate Toffee Macadamia Nuts) Gift Jar

I recently visited a friend on The Big Island, where she offered me a taste of Mele Macs (Chocolate Toffee Macadamia Nuts). It was so good, I ordered some when I returned home. They arrived yesterday, and I have never seen any mailed item so carefully and effectively packed. There were 4 layers of protection and a still cool cold-pack in the package. Not a single nut ball was crushed or scratched, and the heavy plastic container was also undamaged. Given that the nut balls were traveling from Hawaii to Texas, that's worth noting! Their flavor was lovely--very chocolate-y and crunchy and sweet. OUTSTANDING.

If you have been to the islands you know how amazing these are, and how it’s worth $70ish for the jar. The seller shipped quickly and it’s snowing here, so no melting. However, the chocolate tastes old and rancid and there’s no expiration date printed. I think they’ve been sitting somewhere too long, and are not the yummy product you find on the island.

These things are absurdly good and rich tasting. I mean if you haven't had one you can't really comprehend just how tasty they are. I have to control myself to keep from shotgunning these things until the jar is empty. i swear I could eat an entire jar myself and then happily slip into a chocolate coma.. I could think of far worse ways to go.

Absolutely delicious, exactly what I was looking for and a decent price too. I had a friend send me these once from Hawaii and I grew addicted. I wish they were easier to get a hold of and find, but I suppose they will just be a rare treat for me like this. It's a little pricy but considering the quality of the product, totally worth it.

Delicious but kind of overpriced. But I guess that's because they come from Hawaii. Beware; they are addictive!
