BodumKenya 3-Cup French Press Coffee maker, 12-Ounce

What can we say here, it works exactly as it should. The screening is nice and snug, and the carafe is a great size for someone who likes a few mugfuls or a couple enjoying a morning cuppa together.I use mine for steeping loose leaf teas and no matter what I put in it, it strains perfectly.One thing I love about this particular press over the less expensive choices is the fact that the screen housing drops in without having to fenagle it past the handle clip at the top of the carafe like on other models. So silly, but since it is just a great French Press and they are a fairly standard item, I was wondering what I could say that would help you make the decision to purchase this. So there you have it, so great I really had to reach for something to highlight it out.

We’ve used a larger model happily for years. Got this 4-cup Kenya for brewing one serving. Discovered at first wash that the glass is attached to the carafe. But whatever adhesives are used only seal the bottom — the other seams are not sealed so water and soap get in there but don’t drain and dry well. Not cool. That’s a recipe for gunk and mold. Will be returning for the stainless steel version, which is one piece, or a brand/model where the glass and carafe completely separate.

Perfect size for me; easy to use and to clean and store. I had one exactly this size for 15 years and one day.... HORRORS..... I dropped it and broke it! Oh noooo.....boo hoo hooooo........ I shopped for this one and finally found it!! Oh happy day!! I love this coffee press because of it's simplicity. Not all coffee presses are the same. I love that I can turn the lid around to close the spout, then turn it back around to pour. Not all presses allow this. It says "4-cup" but that really means about a cup and a half in my big mug. Bodum refers to a Cup as 4 oz! Anyway, this is a great little coffee press, and I'm glad to have it.

4 stars and not 5 because there are plastic parts in contact with the coffee: never a good idea. and is a potential failure feature.

Had the same one but broke it after many years. I was glad to find the same one. Makes one good size mug of tea.

Add Lavanta Fleur Komodo and I have the perfect cup of coffee.

It makes 16-18 oz (depending on how high you fill it) which is perfect for my travel mug. Most of the other smaller French presses make only 12 oz, and the typical ones make a quart or more. It feels solidly built as well. The screen seems better (than my previous 12 oz press) at keeping most of the French press sludge from getting in the coffee.

Very well designed, well built, not cheap at all.One of the few models made in a reasonable size, as most french presses are either too small or gigantic. A bit pricier than other options, but you get what you pay for, great product!

Cette cafetière à piston fait parfaitement le job. Elle me parait solide pour son prix de seulement 15 euros. Perso j'aime le café allongé donc pas de problème au niveau du dosage.

Fonctionne comme attendu, matériaux de bonne qualité et résiste bien à la chaleur. L'entretien est assez facile, à part le marc de café qui se compacte au fond et doit être détaché avec un couvert avant de pouvoir rincer.

Aucunes remarques particulières par rapport à cette Cafetière, c'est une bodum elle fait le café, c'est simple à utiliser du moment qu'on force pas sur le piston quand il est plein, sinon vous allez avoir une surprise.
