American Lifetime Slide Board - Workout Board for Fitness Training and Therapy with Shoe Booties and Carrying Bag Included

I bought the slide board to help strengthen my legs for cycling to be honest and use it when the weather really doesn't allow you to get out on the road - living in England, it will be used quite a lot. The board itself turned up 5 days ahead of its scheduled delivery date which was pleasing, in a smaller than expected box, neatly packed in the travel bag but ready to use. When I first unrolled the board the ends were slightly curled down, which is to be expected but after a few uses it soon flattened out and is now perfectly flat. The board allows me to do exactly what I bought it for, which is to perform a squat at the end of each slide on 'that side' leg and then push up and off into the slide to the other side etc etc. Not only does it work every muscle from your glutes all the way down to your toes, the slide board provides a fantastic cardio workout.The board itself seems well made - the stopping blocks are big enough to do their job without being over bearing - the sliding area has a good balance of slip and resistance when using the provided 'booties' to perform a controlled slide without slipping over. The anti slip rubber underside, when used on wood flooring or tiles, holds the slide board in position perfectly without any sidewards movement.In short, it does exactly what it says it does, plus you can take it anywhere. I would recommend this to any one who wishes to exercise their body from the hips down.

I was worried it wouldn’t live up to the one that I had used decades ago, which was sturdy. I read the comments and kept checking for weight of product, hoping that something that weighed a little heavier would be strong. I bought the longest one they offered, and was happily surprised that it has holes in it that allow you to adjust it. I think it’s a quality product and a good price point.

Great exercise! Good price point. A few design flaws. Putting it away regularly (rolling it up into the net bag) results in inevitable creasing where the mat meets the end blocks, so I just leave it out. Also, the bottom isn't quite grippy enough to handle hard push-offs. It ends up sliding out a bit which is super annoying. The sliding is also partially attributed to me pushing off too hard because the mat lost its slippery-ness, which I have restored with DuPont's silicone surface lubricant. I assume this is undisclosed required maintenance, but essentially back to new after applying the lubricant.

The fenders on the slide board I was sent look nothing like those pictured on the product page. Instead of thick plastic blocks, they're a very thin L-shape that bends and shifts each time your foot strikes them.This is made even worse by the fact that they're poorly fixed to the board. The board has three variable length adjustments, the longest of which is secured by three bolts with washers. The shorter two however, only have two points to attach the bolts. Without the middle bolt, the flimsy plastic fenders bend even more.I can't imagine the board lasting more than a handful of uses before the fenders break, or the board itself tears under them. You could maybe get away with using it for a child or a very small adult, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Overall a nice board. I liked the size since it was long enough for me and also my 6'3" husband. I also appreciated the non slip liner underneath the board. The main reason for the 3 stars is that although one side with the bumpers stays down, the other side kept rolling in. There's isn't enough weight on the other side to keep the bumper down. I had my husband use his foot to keep it down, but it kind of defeats the purpose of allowing me to work out by myself when I have time. Maybe the other side might stay put over time if you put the weights on it, but since i need to roll it up and put it away each time, it won't work for me. If i have a home gym and had the space to leave it out, i think I would keep it and see if the curling if the other end would get better over time....unfortunately, I don't. I'll be returning this. Back to the drawing board.

The ends are exposed metal, I thought this was supposed to have a cover piece for the ends. I did not get the mesh bag either.
