Quality
It was easy to install with 2 people and it is well built. It would be nice to have a longer cord for plug in.It looks good and it does the job to provide the shade.

Works great...now, after a replacement
Had a big issue with the first one I got, where it seemed to be rolling up crooked and that would cause it to pop back out on its own. I had a contractor install it. We contacted the company through Amazon and after sending them videos of the issue, they sent me a replacement, which worked fine.I wish we had installed it a bit lower, but the instructions indicated that we had to allow for a 20" drop (I think that was the number) but in reality, either we read it wrong or it was written (translated from Chinese) wrong, because it should have said that you could make UP TO a 20" drop. I'm wondering if the drop we had set it for originally played into the problems we had. We set the second one up without that drop and had no issues.

Disappointing
The awning does not come with hardware to mount on vinyl or other siding. The two end mounting brackets only have about 2 inches of adjustment on either end which will not align with mounting it on vertical studs. I had to install a 2x8x8 board to the studs and then mount the awning to the board.Once installed I was able to open and close it all the way manually. However, when I pushed the remote button to open it, the awning did not stop on its own. It continued to open and then started to close but stopped about 2 feet before closing all the way. I was then able to close it all the way manually.I sent an email to Diensweek a week ago about the issue but received no response. I contacted Amazon and they agreed to ship me a new one and then return the one with the problem.I do like the look of the awning and it seems well built for the money minus the issue. Hopefully, the replacement will perform as expected. Sunsetter quoted me $3,500 for the same size awning and after looking at my neighbor’s Sunsetter, I don’t see the $2800 difference in value.I will do a follow up review once I get the replacement.*** I received the replacement and I don’t have the issue with it not stopping when it fully opens. However, I have a different issue. I am not able to retract it manually unless the power is unplugged to the awning. When the awning has power and I start to manually retract it hesitates and acts like the motor is engaging and won’t let me retract it. Once I unplug the power cord I can manually retract and open it without an issue. It works fine with the power on and using the remote. Diensweek definitely has some quality issues to address. I’m debating returning this one too. What a hastle!!

Nice product
If you have some knowledge of mounting large things, this isn’t difficult
