Sturdy, quiet no frills Rowing machine
I got this unit specifically for the cardio and multiple muscles worked out via rowing as compared, say, with stationary cycling or treadmill. I wanted something that had a relatively small footprint, that was quiet, and that would not be a budget buster. I also wanted a unit that was designed/built to train the rowing muscles. I looked at many different brands, and independent reviews. And to make it more confusing, the Sunny brand alone has no less than 20+ rower models! I eliminated the “fan” models because of the noise levels. Neighbor has a Concept 2, and I was not about to fall. into that $$ trap. I know I am not rowing on a lake or river, so I don’t need the snob appeal of that unit. I have a genuine kayak that I use in Summer for that. When all was said and done, I narrowed the choice to this model. I don’t need sophisticated electronic display. I do like having the pair of stabilizing “feet” ahead of the rower’s foot pads. Not all of the Sunny rower models have this feature. This model is definitely quiet! I love that feature. Easy to assemble, and to move around, too. Quality built, and the value is great.

Nice rower
Just received yesterday ad assembled it myself in 30 minutes. Had a good workout on it this morning. Great rower for the money! So far, so good!

A great intro rower
I didn’t know if I’d like rowing, so I didn’t want to spend money on a high-end rower like the concept2. I got this instead, while it was on a good sale.Over the last year, I’ve spent at least 30min a day rowing while watching TV or movies. The exercise, combined with diet, and I have lost close to 100lbs and been able to keep it off. However, almost exactly 1 year of using it, it suddenly broke. The internal flywheel no longer functions and is no longer covered by warranty. So I’ll now be buying a high-end rower.Pros:- cheap- effective- good resistance- not very loud- foldableCons- broke after 1 year of use- the digital metrics are not super helpful. Would be nice if it calculated the strokes per minute for example.I’m giving it 4 stars because it did what I expected. I’m disappointed that it broke after a year, but… I also kind of expected that, given the price.

Sturdy and easy to assemble
I’m thrilled that I ended up getting this rower. It’s not feature-packed like some other expensive ones, but the more features on a product, the more likely it is to break. Don’t even get me started on the stupid screens that they include on Pelotons and Nordic Tracks that will be obsolete in two years because of a software update.Either way, this is sturdy, easy to put together (took 15 mins or so) and the hardware is even organized by what step in the instructions it corresponds to. The console connects to the free app which has loads of great workouts and provides you with more info than the console alone. The ONLY thing I wish is that the calorie counter in the app could take the resistance level into account. Other than that, it’s a great machine for the price.

-1* for product headline
I am taking off an extra * in this review because regardless whether you click on the "Classic" or the "Smart Rower", both have the same product headline which says they have Bluetooth connectivity. As far as I can tell though this functionality is only included with the Smart Rower. That being the case, it should be clearer in the product headline when you have selected the Classic that Bluetooth is not included. This is easily accomplished by just . . . taking off the language about Bluetooth connectivity when selecting the Classic. While I'm not exactly expecting that feature in a $288 (list price) rower, if it isn't in there then don't include it in the product headline. It's just that simple.Otherwise I would normally give this 4* (maybe 3.5*). I have similar quibbles to others, specifically (1) that what looks like (probably should be) the middle support is really just there for when the machine is folded up but yes I put a small block of wood underneath it because it makes everything feel a bit more stable, (2) that the groove that holds your phone/tablet is so thin that for many phone/tablet-protecting cases you'd have to take it all the way off in order to use the holder, and (3) the machine really needs to scale the resistance better, as the lower settings are so soft that you barely use it as a rower and it should scale faster so that the highest setting has at least 50% or even 100% more resistance. Assembly was easy, machine is quiet.

Great rowing machine
Great rowing machine. Saves going to the gym for a workout just as good as I'd get there. Good quality, heavy piece of equipment, I don't have to worry about it tipping while using it. Smooth pull and and seat operation. Good tension control for workouts from easy to tough.

Good machine at a good price.
I love this machine. There were a couple of factors that tipped me to this particular rowing machine. One it has a padded seat. Very comfortable. Two, it allows you to use it standing up to exercise your arms. Also the reviews were good, I don’t put a great deal of stock in reviews, but comments like this machine is quiet, are helpful, since many people mentioned it. Also, the price was reasonable, I for sure wasn’t going to spend a grand or more on a rowing machine. I did pay the extra $100. To have it delivered and set up. Money well spent.
