Quite Nice
This piece is nicely made...and smooth operating. The only monior thing would be to use a left hand thread to make the unit move in the direction you would expect but that is minor and not a deal breaker.Recommend.

Looks Like It Will Do The Job - Nice Construction
It operates smoothly, has a proper mounting rail on the opposite side of the slider. As someone noted the image on Amazon does not match the product - so I knocked it one star.Is it that hard for the seller to update the images with the current model? Come on man!The clamp knob is too long as one person showed with an image in a previous review and it will indeed run into the crank.BUT - the crank easily slips off so you can use the full range of the slide. It would have been nice if the crank would fit the knurled knob on the other end, but for some reason they didn't make it that way (the knurled knobs are different sizes(?)). No idea why people design stuff the weird way they do and this is a good example of a design feature that makes no sense.Other than that it's very nice.

GREAT focusing rail.
I do a lot of macro photography, mostly out in the field. Having a good macro rail makes it so much easier to get the best shot, and this rail is great. Silky smooth movements, lightweight, and with built-in Arca-Swiss clamp compatibility. I'm thoroughly pleased with it. AND, it's $245 cheaper than the same thing from Really Right Stuff (who I love...but $245 is a BIG difference). There are cheaper devices out there, and they tend to be cheaply made or just big and clunky. This is the best thing going for macro work.

Quality Control Issues Cannot Be Overlooked
The SUNWAYFOTO MFR-150S has quality control issues. The primary issue with this MFR-150S model is the Screw Knob attached to the clamp, which is too long and consequently hits against the Hand Crank, preventing the clamp and the mounted camera from traveling the specified/advertised 106mm (4.17") Adjustment Range.Because the Screw Knob is too long and hits against the Hand Crank, you will lose at least 10mm of Adjustment Range with the MFR-150s--a significant amount. The MFR-150 model, which uses a lever clamp conveniently attached to the side of the clamp that does not come into contact with the Hand Crank, may not suffer from the above issue, and thus, may have the full 106mm Adjustment Range advertised in the manufacturer's specifications. The other issue I noticed with the macro rail is that the indicator pin on my unit was slightly misaligned. However, the misalignment was easily corrected by just carefully pushing it in its hole, as it is a removable pin, given that the manufacturer did not seal it in its hole, which is also puzzling to me.Apart from the above two issues, this macro rail is very well made, with excellent precision. The sliding rail or worm rail on my unit is aligned correctly and runs very very smoothly.Note that because of the arca-Swiss plate, you may be able to compensate for the loss of 10mm by sliding the entire piece up/down, while it is mounted on a ball head arca-Swiss mount. Nonetheless, you can do the same with the MFR-150 model, utilizing the full 106mm, as specified. In other words, the arca-Swiss mount on either model enables a Total Adjustment Range of 220mm (8.66"). However, with the MFR-150S and its oversized, poorly-placed Screw Knob, you will have a Total Adjustment Range of 210mm, instead of the specified 220mm.It's worth noting that OEC Camera Accessories offers a pretty good promotion of 10% off 3 items or more, so I only paid $89.95 for this MFR-150S model. If OEC did not offer that promotion, I would have returned this model, and elected for the MFR-150 model or the Manfrotto instead. This MFR-150S model is okay. I would recommend you buy the MFR-150 if you want the more versatile, as-advertised model of the macro rail.

Pretty good bang for your buck!
Honestly, I like this thing. It's definitely not as well-designed as a proper one - the knobs aren't exactly in the most ideal positions. Some people have noted that when you crank all the way to the end, the base plate starts getting in the way of the crank. This is true. *BUT* the crank can be removed and put onto the knob at the other end. So no real problem. I'd say my biggest complaint is that it's kind of tough to get in there and tighten the knob to grab onto the base plate of the camera. But for the money, this thing is a solid buy.

Great Macro Rail
This rail has exceeded my expectations. Works well with my heavy full-frame Nikon. Nice build quality. The drive was a little stiff when it arrived. But, a few drops of light machine oil on the drive screw made a huge difference.

A Real Piece Of Junk
What a piece of Junk! First off this was used and returned because it had a nice size s brat had on it. Second of all the knob to lock the camera in place is so small and so close to the frame you have to struggle to mount the camera. Very very poor design I urge you not to buy this you will be sorry.
