I enjoy the taste of this rice. Too bad it's not sold now. The price is a bit expensive but can't help that I guess and they are imported from Japan.

My bag contained dirt, insects, and mouse potty. The rice itself was milled 40-60% like it was meant to be used for sake originally. But having to sort and do extra washing to be rid of foreign matter was highly disappointing since I am accostomed to Japanese products being extremely high quality. I'd had it sent to a friend who was blind and out of groceries, and I look bad now for sending them inferior quality food.

Thought I'd try the real thing and this IS. Very delicious rice -and I think worth the cost. Great BIG BAG. Very clean product.Wish they sold it in small bags though. That's my review.

This is a nice daily driver kind of rice. Low aroma, low stickiness (I would like a bit more here — sometimes seems a touch dry), excellent al dente texture. Not especially shiny/pretty in the bowl.As you can guess from the above, goes great with saucy dishes. Curry, teriyaki, tonkatsu, etc.Not a bad choice at all for general use! If the price is right go for it.

I was very skeptical that this rice would be worth the price, however I was NOT disappointed. I usually buy the California grown rice, but this is far superior.The grains have a lot more texture, maintain their integrity without getting mushy and flavor is incredible.

I love Japanese rice. I love Amazon too. I bought this rice. When I opened the package, it was full of dust and maggots. Anyone can see that the rice is not clean. I felt very sad and sorry.
