Q: how long will 2.5 gal last per horse?

Depending on the use of the produce will determine how long it will last per horse. Feeding Directions: Maintenance: 1 to 4 fl. oz. daily Heavy work: 4 to 8 fl. oz. daily. Lactating mares: 4 fl. oz. daily. For inhibition of dust on feed and for hair coat gloss: 4 fl. oz. daily or 5 gallons per ton of feed.

Q: will this help for dogs?

Unfortunately we cannot advise customers to use it on canine as it is formulated for Equine use only. However, we have had customers use it on their dogs and it has worked. If you are looking for something for your canines coat and skin, we do carry our Canine Omega oil which works wonders. Not sure if that is a product that we currently sell on Amazon, but always worth looking into. 😊

Q: What is the consistency of this ? I got it a previous time and it was dryer than this time . Seems a little more moist ?

Ours usually comes in a little more moist? Haven't had it come in dry, we store our 35lb bag in a bucket with a gamma seal lid. It stays more on the moist the entire time we use it. Normally takes us 3-4 months to get through the bag.
