AIREX Corona Premium Exercise Mat for Yoga, Physical Therapy, Rehabilitation, Balance & Stability Exercises, Pilates, Aerobics 72" x 39", Blue

I've had a smaller Airex mat for over ten years. I recently decided to upgrade to this larger sized one. It is truly exceptional. It is of sufficient thickness to provide support for any floor workout routine. The extra width allows for greater lateral movement. Worth every penny.My only qualm is as others note, one side has a heavy layer of 'dust'. I place that in quotation marks because its not dust as in particles but a dust like film that requires a fairly belabored cleaning before using. The mat is new, it just seems that it/they may be stored somewhere where they accumulate develop this coating on one side. Not a reason not to purchase, but something to be aware of in advance.

I researched for weeks before choosing this awesome exercise mat, and love the red color! It is just what I hoped for; thick enough to accommodate my back issues, not too heavy or rigid to roll up for storage, and professional quality. I wanted the larger size (72" x 39") as I am 5'7" and wanted room to do any exercise I needed to do without hanging off the mat, and would accommodate a knee pad. It fits in a larger yoga mat bag, but because of the extra width, the bag is top heavy and keeps tipping sideways. The weight is definitely heavier than a thin yoga mat, so I would advise a strap for transporting rather than a bag. For me, the extra padding and size is worth it and it is compact compared to other like-sized mats, but if planning to take to an exercise class, keep these points in mind. Not insurmountable, but be aware. I am very happy with the quality, size, and the fact it is not too heavy to roll up every day. Highly recommend.Only negative was the packaging. It was in a box that was very banged up, but the mat was not affected so I am not complaining.

I like this mat alot because it is think enough to give me a cushion from the floor when I do floor exercises. I also like the fact that it is durable. I have had mine for several years and it has remained in very good shape.

Was looking for more padding than what my manduka pro yoga mat was providing during ab workouts. Not only was this a perfect solution but I now lean towards this mat for my yoga routines as it adds more demand to balance poses due to its thicker surface. You can find mats with the same thickness at a fraction of the price but one step on this and you will immediately notice a difference in quality. The cheaper thicker mats have more of a foam feel where this mat has a very squishy yet durable feel. If this mat does wears poorly over time, I’ll be sure to adjust my rating accordingly but as of right now; even at this price point, no hesitation, 5 out of 5 stars.

I’ve been a personal trainer for almost 10 years and airex makes the most comfortable exercise mats made. This price is great, but I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because my mat came in filthy (see photo). It was as if it was stored in a warehouse for many years and collected dust. Happy with the product, just had to give it a deep clean.UPDATE: I ordered a second mat for a client and it came in dirty too. It also had a small tear in it, likely from a box cutter. Buyer beware.

I've been buying so many yoga mats looking for more support for my very bony joints and never found the right one. Either they were too hard or if they were soft enough they were slippery for proper downward dogs or they were just sliding away when you accidentally stepped on them. And then they always seem too small for my 5 foot 10 frame, not only from the length but always sideways I always felt I was rolling off the moment I did something else than two-dimensional yoga. This Matt has exceptional cushioning for your knees and your ankles and your back and at the same time, it has exceptional grip. The size is perfect in length and width and I'm really looking forward to my workouts now. I am doing mostly Pilates and yoga and mixed movements. This mat is however not a yoga mat that you can strap on your bike - it's much heavier and bulkier than a regular yoga mat. It rolls up easily, and in order to prevent unrolling, I tuck it in a corner behind a large chair.

The mat arrived in a box that was almost an inch shorter than the mat. The front of the mat have black dirt marks on 20-30% of the area. The back of the mat was covered in a grey gaze. We have a smaller version of the mat and understand that is not right. It took multiple cleanings to get most of the dirt out. We need the mat for physical therapy. Otherwise, I would have returned it and bought direct from the manufacturer.

The mat has just the right firmness to be comfortable but not spongy. The large size is perfect for stretching exercises.
