Q: Help! My battery isn't charging! Can I reorder the charging cord that comes with the vacuum?

Get yourself a black and decker charger or even a knock off brand one would work. Just make sure it's the same 20 volt. Hope that helps!

Q: Does this work on shag carpet?

I have only used it on very short pile to no pile carpet. Don’t know if it would work effectively on a shag carpet.

Q: Can diluted bleach or some other liquid be used in reservoir?

My understanding is that you should only put water in the reservoir. You can spot spray area if you want. I have only used mine once (I just got it) and my hardwood floors are the cleanest they have ever been.

Q: does this rest upright on its' own, or does it require a stand?

It comes with a wall mount to hang it if you want to hang it to store it otherwise it does rest upright
