Perfect color, consistency, and texture for what I'm making.
To preface this review, I decided to try my hand at crocheting my first ever patchwork cardigan! I have crocheted two other cardigans before, but they were granny square cardis, so this is my first one using gauge swatches! This cardigan I am making is based off of the Harry Styles cardigan, but I am instead doing a Beetlejuice (you know, that one Tim Burton film from the late 80s starring Winona Ryder) theme with the colors! So, fast forward to now, I decided to obtain this six pack of slime green yarn because the green I was working with did nothing for me. It wasn't slime green enough and it certainly was a splitty yarn. This yarn however is perfect! But there is some minir things I dislike. Here are some pros and cons:PROS:1. PERFECT for what I need project wise.2. Color wise, this is just what I needed for my project.3. The texture is soft and the yarn is a thick cotton, which is perfect for what I need because I want to feel warm in this cardigan I am creating.4. Perfect for crocheting anything.CONS:1. Did NOT realize the skeins were gonna be small! I was bummed that they weren't bigger.2. $9/6-pack of skeins sounds reasonable, but when you use a good quarter of a skein on just one gauge swatch (for reference, my gauge swatch square was stitched with half double crochets, chained 28, and they measure 7.5" L x 6.0" W) it could be a possibility I may have to keep dropping $9 to complete my project.3. Although I enjoy that the yarn is thick, it also is ever so slightly a little bit rough, but not Super Saver rough lol.I may update this review when I complete the cardigan and wear it, just to see how I like the feel of it.

Cotton yarn
I recently purchased Bernat Cotton Yarn and I must say, I am absolutely thrilled with my purchase! The yarn is incredibly smooth and comes in a wide variety of beautiful colors. I used it to crochet multiple dishcloths and they turned out beautifully. The yarn is soft to the touch and easy to work with, making it perfect for a variety of projects. It holds up well to washing and drying, and the colors remain vibrant and true. I was especially impressed with how quickly the dishcloths dried after use, thanks to the absorbent nature of the cotton yarn.Overall, I highly recommend Bernat Cotton Yarn to anyone looking for a high-quality yarn for their crafting projects. The smooth texture, beautiful colors, and durability make it a great choice for a wide range of handmade items.

Smaller than expected.
The skein was very small compared to others I've gotten elsewhere. Color and quality were fine just size was disappointing.

Great for crocheting kitchen items
I love this cotton yarn and mainly used it to make things that will get wet such as dishcloths. I also used it to make great potholders, soap savers, produce bags, and market bags. It is really sturdy which is fantastic for market bags or produce bags that can hold a lot of weight.

Beautiful color but not soft
I was looking forward to trying a different brand of cotton yarn, and I typically have a hard time finding this lime green for my crochet succulents. The color is vibrant, and the finished product looks great. But I found that the yarn was quite difficult to work with. I've been crocheting for most of my life, but for some reason, I was having a really hard time keeping the tension loose. After working with it for a few hours, my fingers and wrists were aching. Unfortunately, I dread making these succulents now because I know I have to get through this yarn. It is definitely a lot rougher than a lot of other cotton yarns. It almost feels like a thin rope or cord. I might like it better for plant hangers, unfortunately, not in this bright green.

Bernat Handicrafter Cotton black
This black cotton yarn was used initially to make this smoothie tumbler, along with the green, for my son. Then it was used, In conjunction with a strand of grey, to make a double thick, 3-strand hexagon trivet!

This is very rough yarn with no give.
I liked the price which is why I ordered. But this yarn is not like the other colors in this same weight. I have been looking for a sport weight, cotton yarn & I was so glad to find it by Bernat’s at a good price & I even liked this shade of red from Amazon. The denim color & the peacock blue color are great colors & are so much softer & easier to work with. But this red is very stiff & doesn’t feel like the cotton yarn at all. I won’t buy this olor again & I would not recommend it..
