WORKS AS DESCRIBED
An inexpensive tool that I use rarely. But works great when needed.

The right tool for the job
I had done hundreds of crimps with a wire stripper and linesman pliers. I can't believe I ever did that now that I have used this. It makes the crimps so much stronger and is sooo much easier. For the price this still feels very high quality. The crimps aren't super high quality, but in most applications, that isn't an issue. The tool is what you are really after here and that is seemingly high quality.

Detailed review with pics. Decent purchase!
First thing first - the case does NOT have any dividers, but that said, it's laid out fine. The tool comes packaged separately and is not the same manufacturer of the connectors (or at least it seems.) Quality seems fairly decent as a novice like me can figure it out fairly quickly. The tool is a bit sticky out of the package, but silicone oil clears that right up. Release mechanism is awkward but usable. The really large downside for most buyers would be instructions or lack thereof. I have an idea of how they're supposed to be used, so I brought out some scrap wire and did a total of 3 male and 3 female connectors and by #3, it was satisfactory to me, they stuck in the connectors and accepted their gender opposite. I plan to use this to mend a couple of connectors on fans and various other 3D printing parts. If you look in the die, there is a ridge. With the jaws facing down (downward angle with the tool in your hand) and the jaws fully opened, look in the left side of the crimpers. On all 3 slots, you should see a ridge halfway across the die. This is the ridge where you need to seat the two, first sharper wings. You need to SLOWLY crimp the tool together while gently positioning the connector. I found that it may help to GENTLY squeeze the larger wings a TAD closer together. Once there is resistance in the crimper (on the connector) then you can tug from the RIGHT side of the crimpers and slide the connector in to fully seat on that ridge. Make sure you understand how that ridge interacts with the connector or you have a huge chance of scrapping the locking mechanism that secures the connectors in the black ends. This is what I did on the first two. I watched a quick video and found the ridge. My next 2 connectors (one male, one female) were perfect. I found that for the size of the connectors and the size of my wire that the MIDDLE die slot is perfect. I got an excellent crimp, proper wire retention and proper stripped wire length. Look for a video with "macro" in the title to get a GREAT view.Overall, I was initially not too pleased with my purchase but it turns out that I was the actual problem. My bottom line is that, if you're ordering this kit, you're probably NOT a general novice. If you ARE a general novice, check the proper reviews to get a taste of what you need to make this kit work for you. If you're looking for a fairly cheap DuPont kit for your tinkering needs, this is a fine specimen. The tool itself is worth the cost in my opinion. I may add pictures if I can, but possibly not.

great package for the $
I used these on 22 AWG ribbon wire, and they worked great for single wire crimps. On double wire there just wasn't enough space in the connector pin cavity to fit two wires on one crimp. I had to spice the second wire and add HST.to get a ratcheting crimper plus all these connectors for this price was a really good deal. These will come in handy for other bread boarding projects, I am sure.

Works, but very fiddly
I’ve used this crimping set for a few wire-to-wire and wire-to-board applications. It unfortunately does not have a positive stop you can use for aligning the terminal to the crimper. This means you have to manually hold the tiny terminal in place while you crimp it, making it very fiddly to use. Otherwise it works OK

Well the most important thing to know is how to use the the tool .
This is a very good tool it has the ability for crimping many different sizes and is easy to use works great.

Can't get a good crimp.
I bought this based on good reviews thinking it would be easy to learn how to crimp these connectors with, however, I haven't been able to get a successful crimp at all. I'm no beginner to electronics or crimping, just this type of connector is new to me, so it shouldn't be hard to learn. However, no matter how many times I try and how many ways I do it and how many YouTube videos I watch and other tutorials I can't get a crimp that actually works. It is always too loose, or it's too bent up to go in the plug housing, or once it is in the housing it won't plug into another socket. Every crimp is bent up and looks terrible. I can only imagine the problem is the tool or the connector s as I've never had this trouble with any other style and I know plenty of other people have had success with this type of crimper so there's something wrong with this one. Too late for a return though.
