Toyota Prius (2001-2012) Haynes Repair Manual (USA) (Paperback)

So far, I'm really enjoying this book. It's allowing me to see deeper into the workings of my car.I have a question though. Why 2001-2012?I have a 2011 Prius and from everything that I can find, it is a Gen 3 Prius. I believe the Gen 3 was made feom 2011 to 2016. So is this manual just for gens 1 and 2? If so, is there a haynes manual for gen 3?

I've used Haynes manuals since I was a teenager. My car wrenching is now something I do "for fun" on our oldest car and I appreciate the reference rather than back and forth to You Tube (which makes an excellent supplement!). This manual covers most "routine" service really well and is written from the perspective of a competent home mechanic.

I know others have complained about this manual (on other websites mostly) but it meets my needs. I'm not a "gear head" but like to do as much maintenance as I can and this manual is way better for that than trying to use the manual the car came with. So if you need/want something to point out how to do routine maintenance, this is the manual for you. If you want/need something to do some serious repair/rebuild work that you probably won't be happy with this manual. And for the record: I've purchased Haynes manuals for my other 2 cars and were happy with them too. I have not tried any of the other brands.

This is a typical Haynes manual. I always get one for every vehicle I own.

these manuals used to be awesome with a complete tear down and rebuild. I have a 2013 Prius but from my research it isn’t much different than the 2012. I bought this for wiring diagrams and I was curious what type of CVT this had and maybe the inner workings. The only wiring diagrams were the stereo, windows, door locks, in/out lighting. Nothing on the auxiliary outlets nor anything on the high tension side. And the transmission? 3 pages with a drawn diagram of the planetary cvt. So this book is kinda useless, but I’ll keep it and add to my Haynes books.

Haynes does a pretty good job of documentation. I've had other Haynes manuals and have been satisfied as well. Is it the equivalent of a factory manual? No, but for the money, they are a good value and will assist you in most of the maintenance you will need to do for your ride.

Maintain your Prius with this awesome text full of pictures! You will benefit also from many websites and youtube videos to help you do all of the necessary maintenance over the years.... I'm just kinda bored sitting around waiting for something on my 10 year old Prius to break down... guess I'll have to wait another hundred thousand miles.... !

Good old fashioned Haynes manual from the says when the did a full strip down. Doesn't really deal with the Hybrid system. This book is predominantly focused on the mechanics of the car.

Incroyable à quel point les procédures de réparation et d'entretien sont détaillées dans ce livre. L'auteur a véritablement décortiqué le véhicule. En quelques semaines, grâce à ce livre, j'ai déjà réussi plusieurs manipulations et économisé en frais d'entretien de mon véhicule.
