This product is designed to bridge the grooves in concrete block and particle board paneling. The depth of the grooves cannot be above 1/8 of an inch. This product should cover cedar planks, but is not recommended by the manufacturer since the depths of the grooves could vary.

Q: What other preparation is needed for a block basement wall?

The block wall will need to be primed with a good quality wallcovering primer. Let this cure for 48 hours before installig wallpaper liner.
