Great overdrive pedal!
This is my 2nd (bought for a friend this time) This pedal has got a terrific gain/OD sound without a bunch of added distortion in the mix. It's perfect for that late 60s- early 70s tone. I've got other fuzz box distortion pedals but they don't modulate down well enough to do what this little guy can pull off, tone-wise.

Tubescreamer alternative
A lot of users say that this is a clone of the Ibanez Tubescreamer. Watching several videos online with both pedalsin an A/B setting confirmed this. I can't tell any difference sonically. The more I played with the pedal, the more Ibelieve that this is a straight out copy of the original. It has the same mid hump, the same amount of low gain and the same amount of volume. I prefer using a tubescreamer type of pedal as a boost for my tube amp's dirt channel or boosting my overdrive pedals. It would be nice if they added an extra 6db of volume for this purpose.I guess they just copied all the values of the original's electronic specs. As a stand alone overdrive, if you're not into high gain, then this is worth checking out. It is a soft clipping, low gain overdrive that's perfect for blues. It's mid range is prominent that works well with Fender & Vox tube amps. If you already have a TS-9 or a TS-808,this can be a back-up pedal that can be had for a lot less. The pedal seems to be sturdy & made out of metal. If I can find any faults about this pedal, it will be just a couple of details. And that would be nitpicking. The first one is about the lack of headroom in the volume. Extra loudness will make this pedal special. Second, I wouldlike to see a better footswitch. I would love to see a soft clicking and silent footswitch. And that's about it......a tubescreamer type pedal that's very small and inexpensive.

Great mini TS clone
I absolutely love this little pedal and I am picky about tone. Is there anything special about it? No. It just does exactly what it is supposed to do, tightens up your amp's low end, adds a mid bark bite and adds sustain. I use it to push an already loosie goosie dirty amp into a tight metal gain monster. I compared it to the TS mini and it is 90% as good for around a third of the price. I've also dropped it on accident down a little 4 step flight of stairs with hardwood flooring and I've left it plugged in an on for two weeks before and it works great. If you play metal and need that little something that only a good TS style overdrive provides, don't hesitate. $20 well spent.

Cheap and efficient, gets the job done while also providing a weird tone-knob boost.
Nothing particularly wowing going on here; this thing does exactly what it’s supposed to do and provides a nice overdrive in a tiny enclosure for cheap. Cut the gain down and crank the level for a clean boost, or use it to add some dirt to your tone. One odd thing (and some may find this to be neat little bonus): when you turn the tone knob clockwise and get to maybe 85-90% there is a sudden and dramatic increase in output level, which is very odd behavior for a tone pot, but kind of neat too.

Inexpensive doesnt have to be cheap
Classic Green Screamer sound. Now if you don't like these you may not care for this, but for the money I'd keep it in my bag anyway. It's very touch responsive, seems to have more gain side by side to another pedal I paid more than twice as much for USED. And the tone knob has a great deal of range.and you can crank down the gain and it makes a great almost clean boost ( one of my favorite sounds in my multi pedal set up

Limited, unpleasant sound
Maybe, after 40 years of playing guitar, I've somehow forgotten what a good overdriven sound is, or maybe I just got a glitchy pedal. Regardless, this thing doesn't provide overdrive: it provides mud and volume reduction, and it does nothing that most combo amps' onboard effects won't do--it just does them poorly, IMHO.

Doesn't work without a power supply
The amazon web site and label on the pedal and the instructions do not give the proper power requirements of the pedal or the plug size to properly purchase a power adapter. The information on amazon is inaccurate because it says power adapter excluded !!butwhen I Tried to find their website to purchase a power adapter there were no power adapters to purchase for this Guitar Mini Effects Pedal Over Drive, therefore the power adapter excluded; actually, means doesn’t exist!
