Old sensor lense got marred by previous homeowners and therefore did not work, thus these new ones.Number 1 and most important, these sensors work perfectly in direct bright sunlight.Number 2, they were simple to install, replacing old malfunctioning sensors. Snip the wire about 6 inches from the old sensor, undo the wing nut, and remove the old sensor. Strip the four wires (two on new sensor, two on the existing wire you just snipped going back to the opener machine. Connect wires, matching the stripes, using the crimp connectors included with new sensors. Bolt new sensor on with wing nuts.Notes: a) they included 5 crimp connectors, one extra. I needed it because one wire broke where I nicked the copper when removing the insulation. Thanks for the extra connector. b) put the green lighted sensor on the shadiest side, as it receives IR from the other unit. c) the green/yellow lights glow when lined up. Easy

My garage door never really was reliable. One day I accidentally broke the sensor, and I bought this instead of getting one from the manufacturer. It was easy to install and my garage door has never been this reliable. Worth every penny

This kit was not difficult to install for this 72-year-old with some friendly help from Chamberlain’s phone customer service. The mounting bracket I was using was circa 1994 and initially it appeared that the bracket would block the view of the monitor light on the transmitter and receiver, but eventually I found the correct position so it could be seen.Thereafter I was VERY frustrated that no matter how carefully I aligned the beam sender and receiver, both lights stayed yellow; I was looking for green. In frustration I pressed the remote and the system worked fine! “Oh yeah,” said my phone helper, “yellow is what you SHOULD see.” Oh. Why not put that in the instructions??Anyway, works fine.

Not sure why the original door strip sensors failed on a 2 year old Chamberlain garage door opener. Tried everything as an engineer and with help from their tech support to reset them and align them. The door would stop and reverse on the down stroke falsely. The replacement kit came with everything needed, new labeled sensors, mounting hardware, pinch to crimp in-line connectors (plus an extra one), and instructions. Wired them in with the receiver sensor out of sunlight view. Immediately the door operated correctly. Highly recommend this replacement kit universal to many Chamberlain operators.

Easy to install, LEDs are bright, only wish the wires were longer… but good price, and now our garage door closes again!

This product worked exactly as it was supposed to, replacement for the exact same sensor already in use, but in ill repair. It was SIMPLE to replace and worked the first time without incident. The wiring was totally separated from my old sensor on left side of the garage door and I really only needed one of the two sensors that was received. It is too bad, you have to buy both left and right sensors when you only need the left sensor. Now, I have one of the sensors stored hoping that if another sensor goes bad (2 garages doors with openers on each door), it will be the right sensor which needs replacing.
