I had the unfortunate experience of getting molluscum contagiosum from an unfaithful partner and had been using the silver cream and Imiquimod packets on all of my spots for three weeks and thankfully they all scabbed up and flaked off. When I ran out of the medical prescribed creams I was left with only using the silver cream onto the spots that were left. I only have two scars that stayed ever since and have not left after three months. What I did to help prevent the spread of the virus was wear longsleeve baggy sweaters that were tight at the neck and cuffs of the wrists. I had some spots on my legs and used knee length socks to not only prevent the ointment from moving but also from my pants rubbing against the spots. I would recommend changing into new sets of clothes everytime you re apply the ointment cream to help prevent the virus from spreading from your dirty clothes onto newer areas. Always wear gloves and have a trash bag nearby to throw away possible items that are contaminated. I always made sure to apply the creams onto a Q-tip to avoid touching any spots and possibly transferring the virus. I also used a medical waterproof tape on top of all the spots to help keep the ointment in solace but also to make me more comfortable when showering that no cream will be washed away or that no virus would be spread onto other parts of the body while showering. While the virus will stay longer on different people, I was fortunate for the virus to be gone within three weeks (I had over 15+ spots). I recommend to get a STI Testing due to the virus being connected to symptoms of HIV etc for adults. While not all cases are related to HIV, it can always be as simple from getting the virus from contaminated surfaces. It’s a terrible feeling not knowing how and who gave you the virus or when it will truly be gone and you can go back to your everyday life, just have hope that you will be fine and you will get better. My daughter had molluscum for almost two yearsSpecialist said we could have some freezer off or let it run it's course.. well they also said it would go away in 6 months to a year.... hence my first sentence. We put this with band-aids for about a week or two and they are gone!!!!!!!! She does have some scarring however as she gets older they will disappear. She is able to wear shorts now and she is not embarrassed. This stuff Is really awesome.

It worked! My son had a large molluscum that was resolving and then two tiny ones popped up next to it. I applied this within the first few days that they appeared and within two days the new ones were gone.He also had 4 pop up on his back, so far those haven’t resolved, but I didn’t get this on them right when they appeared.For us, applying to brand new ones made them go away fast. I am applying regularly to the others and it seems to be helping but they are still there. I will update when they are gone.Keeping this on hand to apply immediately to any new ones.

My daughter had these sores on her body that were diagnosed as molluscum contagiousum. It is a virus, and as it sounds, it is very contagious when touched. There is no cure, and it has to run it's course. From a few months, to a couple years. The dermatologist never gave us anything for the sores, and as my daughter entered 3rd grade, the mean girls started commenting on her "bumps" (they were unsightly). So I started researching what could be used to get rid of the bumps, also looking up what to use to get rid of warts, as although a different virus, I thought it might be worth trying the remedies.
