Excellent Product
I used these last night... I use a 'club kit' with a 16 inch bass drum. The bass drum mic sounded fantastic! The tom/snare mics were just as awesome. However... The mic clips would not fit on my rims. They are made of rigid plastic with no flexibility at all.. That being said, the quality of these mics was still worth a 5 star review. Yes, I'm going to have to get new mic clips but all drum gear is made differently and the price of these is a bargain! Highly recommend!

Thoughts on this kit
Tom and snare mics are great . Definitely not impressed with the kick drum mic. Can't get that punch from it. Thinking of only replacing the kick drum mic. Pleased with the rest of the kit though.

Not bad!
Got these for my home ‘hobby studio’. I’m an ex pro recording engineer, and am surprised how happy I am with the sound of the overheads, toms, and kick. Not so great on the snare (oddly dark and dull), maybe a defective mic, but I haven’t gotten around to swapping it out with a tom mic to check (snare and tom mics are the same mic). I had read this a might be the case, so I’m likely gonna get an SM57 to replace it with anyway. I recorded myself playing, and when playing it back with headphones on, some of the ambient room noise and stick clicks etc sounded so real and lifelike I thought it was live audio for a sec! Haven’t tried yet, but I bet the OH mics are pretty good on piano, acoustic guitar, room, etc as well...Tom clips are very hard to get on and off (I had to use pliers) so prob not great for live work or if you’re changing kits frequently. They may loosen up with repeated use though...
