A good tool to use when teaching phonics.

We use these for our first graders in the classroom works well.

I ordered this set of dry erase boards to use in a small group in my classroom. They would also be beneficial to homeschoolers or tutors. They worked well and the marker totally erased on the board. The school year is almost over and they still look good. They are a bit pricey.

We work with children with special needs. These are tough enough to be used every day. They are very durable and easy to use for both the staff and the children. The children love being able to touch, hold and carry them as they learn. These are great for a school or even a parent that wants to teach their child.

This is an excellent tool for teachers trained under the Science of Reading and looking for hands-on materials to support phonemic segmentation and blending in the classroom. The slider tool is especially helpful for my students who struggle to blend sounds. And the tool itself is kind of like an enhanced and interactive take on the traditional Elkonin box! However, I am disappointed and appalled that the company has the audacity to charge such an egregiously high price for what is simply 5 small whiteboards lined with cheap plastic. The markup on this is probably over 300%.Sad that these educational resource companies are willing to take advantage of a “trend” in literacy instruction to deplete from the already-meager wallets of underpaid, dedicated teachers who need these tools to help their students thrive. Shame on them.

This is a great learning tool. As an ENL and reading teacher, I teach phonemic segmentation. These wipe-off boards have boxes and a slider for students to segment sounds. I like the boxes because it enables students to segment each phoneme. The board is large so the student or the teacher can add a picture or write above the boxes. The slider is a great multisensory tool, especially for tactile learners. They can slide to each letter and then slide across the word to blend it. I will use this with my students at school and also with students whom I tutor. The price is a bit high for what you are getting. For that price, it should come with dry-erase markers, erasers, or some magnetic letters. Almost $60 for dry-erase boards is a bit high. I do like them and will make good use of them. They are sturdy and the boards are of good quality.
