Look nice, functional
Cute set. My cat kept knocking over my plants and breaking the pots. I had them on the window sill because the orchids like that particular lighting. I repotted them in these pots and put them in the bathroom. So far so good. If she does knock them over I'm hoping they won't break. I like that they are made specificially for orchids and have a nice aeration system and have a pleasing look to them.

Cute, but not as sturdy as I was hoping
Very cute ' little' orchid pot, I really like the inside ' basket' as it's very sturdy and arid, but I'm not overly happy with the white outter pot as it's quite flimsy and not a thick hard material like I thought, the white pot does not make a good soaker pot if your trying to rehydrate an orchid as the white pot pours water all over the counter and floor if filled past the lowest gray at the bottom, which does make it perfect for preventing water rot... there's a design in the pots where if you gently press the edges of the inside pot/ basket that will separate it from the outer pot raising it up for easy access and I love that, if your orchid is healthy or over watered I think this is a good pot I just wish the outer white pot was stouter and in my case of trying to save a dehydrated orchid for my grandma I wish it didn't leak... personally I will be buying this pot again ( probably the 4 inch tho, I got the 5inch this time and it's a bit big...

Great pot for orchids!
My orchid is doing very well since repotting in this pot (using clay pebbles as the medium). It's easy to refill the reservoir (I just water through the pebbles). There are only two downsides to this pot, but since it works so well I am happy to overlook them:1) You can't/shouldn't move the pot while it has water in it, because the water easily leaks through the vent holes when the pot is jostled. This isn't a big deal though and is simply a result of one of the features of this pot (ventilation), so you can't really complain about it. You just have to be mindful of this limitation.2) The water level is hard to see through the dark plastic viewing windows. However, I assume this helps prevent algae growth in the water reservoir so I can't really fault this design choice either. Also, because of the ventilation holes, you can just water whenever instead of waiting for the tank to be low (just be sure to have the plant somewhere where the water runoff won't be an issue!).

Unstable
They look exactly like in the pictures, not super pretty but not ugly either. The technical design seems perfect for orchids and I really wanted to keep them but they are sitting wobbly on any flat surface, their bottoms are not completely level plus they are very very lightweight which will be an issue if your orchids are bigger and get too baby with lots of flowers. This is why so needed to return them. They really need a better and more solid and weighted bottom

Super helpful for orchid novices (like me)
I have been gifted orchids a handful of times and each time, despite following the minimal watering and optimal light instructions, I killed them. When taking my failure out to the trash chute, I'd find that they all had water-logged roots in spite of me watering them once every 10 days. The only thing these sad failures had in common that I could discern, aside from my non-green thumb, was a solid ceramic pot that allowed for no ventilation. So, I was gifted yet another orchid in October and this time was determined to help it thrive. They say to not repot an orchid in bloom, but given my track history, I took a chance. I got this pot and it has made all the difference! There is a crazy amount of ventilation, so the potting mixture easily dries and there's not waterlogged roots. The blooms are going on 3 months old AND I even have new root growth. I feel so accomplished and like I'm able to learn more about growing these beautiful plants. I will definitely buy this again if and when I get another orchid.

Good ventilation, good to be able to water orchid from the bottom!
Love the planter but just be careful when you have water in the bottom because if you move it, it can spill quite easily.
