It’s quick at heating
We needed this for when the hot water in the apartment isn’t working and we can’t shower and so we would use this to add hot water to make a bath (not heat in the bath).I tested this on 8 litres of water held in a bucket from a paper bin in the study. This is equiv to 1.76 imperial gallons / 2.11 US gallons. The starting temp was 23c / 73f (the temp gauge works in Fahrenheit). This was shown on the heater temp display and also exactly on my meat thermometer (I did a dual reading test for peace of mind). The target temp was the machines default. That is 41c / 104f.Starting the machine you instantly see bubbles indicating the element is producing heat.Five mins after staring the machine beeped and showed a temp of 41c / 106f.HOWEVER when I checked using the meat thermometer (which I trust) it showed 52.7c / 127f. And this was after stirring the water and at bottom / middle / top depths when taking the measurement. Now this is hot! I shower at 39c and our hot kitchen tap produces 48c (too hot to wash up by hand without gloves). So it’s a great product. Heats rapidly (I worked out it would take 12.5 mins to heat 20 litres of water where a Swan 20l water boiler,220w but sealed, (think canteens) would take 30mins [assuming as it takes 1 hour to get to 100c] but be careful as higher temp readings in the machine are way off. It might be my machine readings or general but use common sense and keep an eye on it.Overview very happy.

Fast heating up - Easy to use - Plug is hot
I was a bit worried to order this product as not so many reviews. However, I still chanced it, and now I’m happy.Pros: This heater works well, heats up quite fast. To reach temperature of 75F from normal temperature (about 40C), half bucket will take me about 10mins. So for me to have a long shower of 20mins, I need about 20mins to heat up, which is quite good. Quite easy to use, just follow instructions in the package and very handy as I finally can sort out my hot water.Con: The pictures are not clear to show you how deep you can keep the heater within water. So far I only let the water level to reach below the red light and above the minimum line. Another thing is you need to remember to fill up water above the minimum line, which is fine, until one day I took the heater up without turning it off first. Thought I lost it 😁 One more thing is after plug it off from the lead, I noticed that the plug was quite hot, like burning. Not sure why but be aware. So far it works fine after few days.

Helpful
Brought this as my boiler is broken, firstly it needs to be in water, I have mine to heat straight away, the plug gets warm after 20 minutes. It heats up the water in 20 minutes and the water is hot.

Very effective and bigger than you might think
It appears to be a 2500W heating element when used on European voltages of 220-240V.Bigger than it might look on screen so take care to look at the dimensions when ordering to make sure whatever bucket or container you are using is big enough. The steel parts all the way from the end of the element heat up so if they are above the water you're not getting full heating. Also be aware that the temperature control is in Fahrenheit (look it up) and the sensing wire is a separate very small guage wire which is loose and dangles in the water you are heating up. Looks a bit fragile and not sure how long it is going to last like that, but it works ok. you need to avoid it being close to or touching the element. If all you want is heat now, as opposed to some time later, then insert the heater, plug it in, press "SET three times then you can adjust the flashing number to be what you need. 104 F is the default which is about 40C - so nice "warm" water. You would need a bit more for a bath but then press set again and it starts heating. You can see some small bubbles coming from the heater element and a little red light lights up on the end of the heater. If your temp probe is in the right place it slowly counts up towards the set point then beeps three times and turns off when it gets to your set point. Then I think it monitors the tem and when if falls about 5C turns the heater back on, but I haven't used that yet.A 10 litre container of cold tap water took about 8 or 9minutes to get to 104F / 40 C which gave us plenty of warm water for hand washing / dish washing. Good placement of the temperature probe is essential to get the temperature of the whole vessel so it needs to be mid depth away from the hot water coming off the heater element, but also not right in a corner or the side which would give a false reading for the whole container. So a bath full would probably take over an hour if you started on cold water.

Poor Instructions
Very poor and incomplete instructions. Doesn't say if we should input in Fahrenheit or Celsius (obviously pretty important in a heating element) and doesn't say what the flshing red light means. I nearly threw it away in disgust
