Good price. Arrived quickly.
Bought this for my Weber S435. Good price. Quick shipping. Fits grill perfectly. Great for use when I don’t want to break out my blackstone. Ample room for cooking breakfast for fajitas for the family. East to clean. Recommend especially if you don’t own a blackstone or other flattop.

Needs heavy seasoning
The griddle is very heavy and fits my weber grill well. Never owned one before. The griddle comes packaged in heavy cardboard, and oiled in a plastic bag.I seasoned it with a mixture of avocado oil and wax, did four coatings and it hasn't rusted for 6 months even if the grill is outdoors left to the elements.Easy to clean - needed to get a suitable spatula and I use water to clean it after a cook to remove the residue. Easy to use as well - heats evenly although care is needed to not scrape the seasoning and it needs to be re-applied once in a while. What I do is coat it with a bit of oil after cleaning and let that evaporate the next time when I pre-heat it.Recommend.

Great griddle
What a great idea, covering my grill with this! Cleans up quickly, easier to control temperature, better to griddle than to do messy grilling, and no flare ups. !!!!NOTE: be sure to "wet" you're griddle with oil and leave a coating when not in use.

My Tips for Seasoning.....
This is a solid griddle, but I will add a few of my own seasoning tips because I followed Weber's instructions to the letter and did not get a good season the first time around. In fact, the first griddle I got rusted even after 6 times trying to season the darn thing. I sent it back, but it was lots of time and propane wasted. I am having a lot more luck with the second griddle. Here are some of my suggestions:First, make sure you scrub REALLY well when this thing comes out of the package. It's coated in a packaging oil that needs washed off. I scrubbed with dish detergent and rinsed it 2x to make sure it all came off. Dry completely with a soft towel and don't let it air dry.Second, the first time around, I used vegetable oil which is a neutral oil (as Weber suggested be used to season this griddle). However, even after 6 thin coats, each for 30 minutes at 450 degrees, I still couldn't get a nice uniform season on the griddle. Oil selection is everything. Use the Crisbee Stik if you are struggling to season this thing. Yes, it's like $15 and your family will definitely make fun of you for applying what looks like deodorant to the griddle, but trust me, it works. It has made a huge difference and I'm not even completely done seasoning it. I decided to follow the directions on the Crisbee Stik which suggests an hour per seasoning. I think you could do anywhere between 30-60 minutes, but keep the oil coat thin and uniform. Crisbee Stik suggests preheating the griddle to 200 degrees before applying the oil (probably to help the oil disperse because it is like a semi-solid in the tube) - I didn't do that and it's still working out great. When applying it, I rolled it on with the stick but then used my fingers to make sure the coat was uniform and got into all the crevices. Wipe gently with a low-lint paper towel to remove excess before heating it. Cool completely between each coat of Crisbee.Third, I flipped the griddle halfway through the seasoning. It seems to help make sure that each side is seeing equal heat. Of course, use grill gloves if you decide to do this.I've cooked on this a couple times and it has proven to be a great investment. I've gotten a nice sear on fajitas and burgers that I couldn't replicate on the stove or oven. Highly recommend, but take care on the initial seasoning.

Bought used and was perfect
I bought this on a risk based on some reviews. I bought it used from Amazon and it came in original packaging fully protected in perfect condition. I seasoned the carbon steel griddle the way I season any of my cast-iron or carbon steel not the way Webber directions give. They say 30 minutes I do for an hour and let it completely cool and then heat up and re-season two more times the griddle is perfect rust free, and I just lay it on top of the grates of my grill. It’s the great size for small family. It is very heavy as carbon steel or cast-iron is and it is very thick carbon steel. the thickness will help it from not warping so easily and retaining more heat. Just give it 15 minutes to fully heat up after that you can turn your grill off and still cook on it for 15 minutes. Easy cleanup and storage I store mine inside to prevent moisture since it is metal again pretty heavy. This thing will outlive me :-)

Great addition to conventional gas grill
Purchased this as an alternative to a complete Blackstone unit. After seasoning properly, it works as advertised for a flat top griddle. Great for burgers or anything else that might benefit from a flat griddle surface. Needs some practice to position correctly for balanced heating. Recommended as an alternate to full on separate flat top unit if you already have a good quality gas grill with even heating.

Rust and more Rust.
After going thru the seasoning etc the flat top worked great until the damp weather came, re seasoned and again it just keeps re-rusting, I'm not new to Weber grills, there great, but this item is a total expensive let down, I also purchased one for My son and he has the same problem.

Very thick and heavy duty.
After seasoning it a few times, it is practically non stick. It holds the heat great because it is so thick and heavy. This helps maintain the temperature even when I open the lid to my grill. I am using mine over top of a regular grill grate since I don't have the grill this was intended for. The grease goes through the hole in the flat top to the bottom of my grill where it gets collected in a drip pan. I just line the drip pan with foil for easy cleanup.
