Outstanding Quality
I wanted an additional boom arm. I already have the PSA 1 and like it a lot. I just thought I'd give the PSA+ a try. Love it! If you remove the sleeves, the two look very similar. The big difference is in the mounting hardware that connects the boom arm to the microphone. It gives you more versatile angles to really find tune your microphone placement. I also appreciate the built-in cable clips. The PSA+ is mounted into my desk and is solid as a tree. Just my opinion here: if you already have the PSA1, I don't think it's necessary to upgrade to the PSA+. However if you're looking for an additional boom arm or you just need one in general, I highly recommend this product.

Sturdy enough for the heaviest microphones
Industry standard. It's not cheap but you won't replace it. Holds up an RE20 with the factory shock mount without any sag. If you don't like the rode logo on display then you can cut the sleeves off and you do not lose the cable clips - they clip to the frame and separate from the sleeves. If you want to wall mount it then the Heil WM-1 fits like they were designed for each other. Just slip the plastic bit off the bottom pin on the boom arm and it slides into the Heil wall mount. And if you can make a wall mount fit your setup the you pretty much 100% decouple thumps on your desk from hitting the mic capsule.

Look, just get the PSA1+ and get on with your life
It's strong, smooth, quiet, super easy to adjust and relocate the mic.You can certainly spend more (or less) on a mic boom, but you'll always have a story about whatever mic boom you got. Not with this one: on the PSA1+ just cover up the humungous Rode logo and you'll never have to think about your mic boom again. Welcome back to your life :-)

Excellent Roll Bar Mic Stand!
Hi quality mic roll bar mic stand with cable and screen. This is excellent for podcasters. I considered other stands, but this is very well made!

Most Stable Desktop Microphone Stand
I am not a full-time podcaster. I manage a design team, and am sometimes asked to present as a guest in other's podcasts. So my microphone (Shure MV7) is basically stored on this mic stand. The stand never "relaxes" or "sags". the mic remains at the height and position that a left it. Hand movements, or knocks on the desk do not transfer through the stand and generate unwanted noise through the microphone. My son uses one of these stands for voice acting, and other members of my team use it for part-time podcasting. This has become the standard that I provide to my team members. Other mic stands at a comparable price either don't hold their position, or transfer a lot of noise to the microphone from unintended movement around the furniture the stand is mounted on.

Rode PSA1+
Love this mount. They improved on the older model which was already great. Very happy with my purchase. Worth the extra $ for me to not worry when using heavy expensive mic's. Moves around easily and stays in the same position. Only downside is the large branding, but doesn't really bother me as much as I thought it would.
