Bagpipe Moose Valve Barefoot Bagpiper, One way valve and Moisture Control System for Bagpipes

Great little valve. My original flap valve finally gave out so I got the moose while awaiting the replacement. It’s pretty easy to put in, but I recommend watching a you tube on the installation. That just confirms the process.The valve does a great job with an air seal, but I can hear a feel it when it slams shut. Not a big deal but something I noticed. Everyone I know with one likes them and I add my approval. It’s a great idea to carry one ad a back up should your regular valve fail prior to an event

Does not leak air . If installed correctly it also removes some moisture. Ive used them for years mine hasnt failed, but good idea to remove every couple weeks and clean and to keep a spare on hand for gigs. Good product

A fellow bagpiper told me about this so I ordered it. If you are having trouble with your "Blow Valve" leaking or not performing well, it is worth checking out. It really does seal the blow pipe (mechanically), by inserting it into the stock and using a tool provided, expands the valve to a tight fit. It even acts as a moisture trap.

ordered this in hopes to replace an older stop i had that was leaking air. The design of my blow stick required some boring which was fine to get it to fit but after getting it installed and corked up it started leaking out of the blow pipe shortly after blowing the bag up. The valve doesn’t seal properly when it’s moist but not bad enough it would make playing a nightmare.

Cela faisait un moment que je voulais acheter une valve moose et franchement je ne le regrette pas du tout !Je recommande même ! Par soucis de préservation je retire la valve après chaque utilisation histoire de bien faire sécher la valve d'une part et aussi et surtout le bois de la souche et la poche de ma grande cornemuse écossaise ♥️
