The handle seems awkward to handle but my size large hands handle the knife perfectly size extra large and medium sized hand shouldn't have any problems with getting a good grip on this knife. It handles very well no slipping if that's what you're worried about.

Knife arrived on time and in excellent condition. Unfortunately knife arrived full. I was able to sharpen the knife to razor sharp edge and holds the edge good. Handle comfortably holding in hand when carving. Happy with the purchase of the product. Great addition to my wood carving knives.

The detail knife arrived in perfect condition. The blade had no imperfections on its cutting edge and was reasonably sharp that only required a stropping. The tip was straight also. The sides of the blade were polished well and the back edge was smooth and even. The handle is as shown in the picture and is easy to hold for making detailed cuts but may not be to everyone's liking. I can't comment on how long it will stay sharp, due to limited use so far, but only stropped once and it cuts well while doing design work in hand carved spoons from maple and cherry.

I am learning to wood carve. I have several knives, but I think this is my sharpest.
