great binoculars
My former Nikon aculon were stolen. Thus, this is a replacement pair, and there is a good reason why I went back to get a similar equipment. The ones I had before were 12X60 but honestly, I don't see the difference. The magnification is great for general birding, the image is crystal clear, and the weight is not too bad. Also, these binoculars are waterproof which is a plus in my case. The price is decent and the quality is high.

Nikon 12 x50 Binoculars
I use these primarily for looking at the night sky. The stars are in focus and the field is sharp and clear to the edge. This set really brings out the star clusters, larger galaxies and nebula. I will note that 12 x50 is hard to hold steady and I do support them for a steadier view from time to time. For one just getting stared I would recommend 6x, 7x or max of 10x. The 50mm objectives (front lens) really gathers light over smaller apertures. The 12 x50 can really use a camera tripod setup if you want a steady field. The FOV (Field of View) is a nice 5.2 degrees and most finder scopes on telescopes is around 6. Really great for exploring the night sky. They also work great for terrestrial use and birding.

It's Nikon!
Crisp image, excellent quality. I'll ever buy Nikon, it's a great brand. These binoculars are lightweight, well constructed, rubber made, good quality strap, everything is good. I'm not a pro watcher, just to look ships and stuff in the sea.

Diopter Adjustment Ring won't turn
Purchased this and the diopter adjustment ring wouldn't turn. Returned and ordered a replacement and had same problem. Instructions don't cover this. Returned second pair and not purchasing again. Noticed others have had same problem.

Great value
I bought these for the archery range and I’m completely satisfied. Only had em a month+ but can’t imagine finding a better deal for a new product in this price range. They’re a bit unwieldy if you just sling them around your neck and dodge tree limbs in the woods but they make chest holsters for that. Great clarity, great field of view. At the archery range we’ve been able to identify commercial aircraft models as well as what company is operating them.

Perfect quality!
Perfect image, easy to adjust, steady and well made. Good for hiking, bird watching.A bit heavy, so you will feel weight after an hour wearing on your neck.
