There is a learning curve to this thing and smooth bottles work best 2 liter kind and larger . The recycled plastic kind not so good and make sure the bottles are dry inside for best holding on to . Caution the edges of the bottles can be sharp FYI.

Will not cut after 2 bottles! It was hard to manage in the first place. The longest “rope” was two feet before breaking. I was going to try different techniques, but the blade is no longer cutting at all. Do not buy! Absolutely a waste of money!

it's a little hard to use but works

Works much better than the PBACC one for $30 but still leaves some functionality to be desired.I didn’t use a heat gun to soften the bottle since I’m not buying a second device to use my first device, so it definitely put a hurt on my hands to make the rope.I also had very little success with the smaller width setting, so my rope is about a half inch thick, which isn’t ideal.It’s still a great tool to have for a bugout situation, but I wish it worked flawlessly.

Great product. Comfortable in the hand. Comes with instructions and photos. This has adjustable strip size and works Great!!

Hard to use. Poor instructions. Would not recommend.

I was able to cut 4 bottles before a groove was forming along the bottom of the guide that became a cut deep enough to make the guide useless and the plastic cording got progressively wider.I will be returning this item.
