Doesn't bleed like some "proffesional" brands do and has awesome staying power.
I bought Fuchsia Pink hoping to replace Pulp Riot Countess because this is $10 cheaper. The color match isn't exact. Lunar Tides is A LOT brighter and a bit more pink, but that's solved by adding a bit of blue and some black. I honestly love this dye. It doesn't bleed like my hair did when using Pulp Riot. I'd have a stained towel after every shower, but not with Lunar Tides. It also has amazing lasting power. I wash my hair everyday and it's been over a week since dyeing my hair and it's still very vibrant. I only washed my hair with cool water for the first few days and went back to hot/warm water too. Will definitely keep purchasing this brand

Over and mixed w gray
I luv this stuff. I use it as a wash over dyed gray. I had to lighten once for a slate gray permanent color then I use Lunar Tides to put on top and sides. It is a head turning combo! Never messy always versatile.

As good as special effects
Loved cyan! It’s not the exact color, but it also depends on how light your hair is. The fade out is pretty and lasts awhile. Best thing since special effects hair color! Unfortunately amethyst was not as great. It was so light I couldn’t tell if my hair was saturated. It came out pretty but is fading so fast.*in picture the cyan is super old but I just did the amethyst on both sides right above cyan and it’s totally gone on one side*

Leave it in for 2 hours
I may change my rating later. I LOVE the color. However it should be noted that I had to leave it in my hair for 2 hours before rinsing in order to actually get it to work (and cold water, whereas previous dyes worked and lasted even with warm water). We will see how long it lasts after the 2 hour attempt. I will try to update. If it lasts a while, I will probably update to 5 stars.

Beautiful Color, Stained EVERYTHING, and Smells?
Cranbaby was THE EXACT color I envisioned: berry-colored, or cool reddish pink! One pass with the dye came out pretty even, but stained EVERYTHING I owned. My hoodie's hood was tinted pink. My neck was PINKKK for days because of the dampness after a fresh wash and friction from my hair. The collars of my shirts turned pink in the back.I didn't tone my hair, so I knew it would come out a little warmer. However, whenever I washed it, the dye would be an orange-red or hot pink. Now, after a few more washes, the original orange tone I had underneath is more visible. My goal was to use a cool-red in hopes it would balance out the warmth after a bleach bath (color theory, yk), but I feel like the base of this color isn't perfect for that.My biggest complaint is the SMELL it leaves on my hair. It smells so weird? It reminds me of stale hairspray on freshly ironed hair or something? I've tried other dyes and never had this issue. Speaking of which, my hair took well to other dyes like Arctic Fox, Unicorn Hair, and GDY. However, this didn't feel as conditioning to my hair.Overall a bit disappointed, but maybe this will be better for others! So sad it didn't work out.

Beyond impressed.
I’ve been loyal to Arctic Fox for like a decade. I liked the brand better than Pulp Riot, which my stylist uses in the salon, so I always brought AF to my appointments and used it at home for touch-ups in between. For whatever reason, I felt pulled to branch out and try Lunar Tides recently. The reviews had me sold and I loved the shade range, so I figured, what’s the harm? I bought Cranbaby for most of my head, and Petal Pink for my money piece, and took them along with me to my appointment at the salon. My stylist had never used this brand before either, so she made sure to really saturate my hair in small sections to make sure we got even coverage. And my oh my, did it turn out like a dream. Cranbaby covered my faded purple flawlessly, but the best part of the whole experience has been how long-lasting it is for a red. Stylists and people with general knowledge of hair color know that reds are the hardest color to maintain. I fully expected this shade to fade to a pinky color before the one month mark, but it didn’t happen. I’m pleasantly surprised that I’ve finally found a red that is relatively low maintenance. I usually touch up my color at home every 4 weeks, but I went 6 weeks before I did it this time, and it wasn’t really out of necessity. Most of the color held up, it really only faded at the crown of my head where my shampoo is doing the most work. Although the floral scent of this brand isn’t as nice to me as the grape candy scent of Arctic Fox, that’s just a minor little detail that won’t stop me from repurchasing from this brand again and again. If the red holds up this nicely, I imagine the other shades will outperform AF as well. Petal Pink faded somewhat quickly, as is the nature of pastels and their lack of pigmentation, but with Cranbaby I don’t even feel the need to wash my hair in cold water to maintain my color, and that speaks volumes on the pigmentation and longevity Lunar Tides is giving me with this lovely red. I’m sold, I’m converted. I can’t wait to try out more colors.

Where’s the smoke?
I was so excited to use this product after a friend had recommended it. As a true 90s babe, I started with Punky color, back then it was the most pigmented dye to use besides koolaid. I had been dying my hair for about 15ish years. Then took a huge hiatus. Fast forward.. I bleached to a blonde, used a toner for reference as my starting color. The results color chart showed it would still be smokey, it wasn’t. It ended up being a magenta color. The color was really vibrant but not the same shade at all. Consistency was more of a gloss than creamy. I used half the jar for 2 small sections. Bummed it feels like a waste of money since the color wasn’t Smokey orMauve ish at all. I ended up using a clarifying shampoo to get most of the color out, then a mix of 3 artic fox colors to get a closer match. I really wanted this color to work! With all the new companies & advancements made since the 90s, I was really hoping this color would take. Insert sad face here. Wish I would have taken a pic before changing the color.

Not much staying power, but makes hair soft
Beautiful color, but sadly did not stick to my dark brown hair. Would be better suited to lighter colors. Still recommend, as my hair felt magnificent after use
