Best pre made kit I have seen so far!
If you want a QUALITY kit and don't want to assemble it yourself, this kit may be for you.I have looked at many premade kits. They are almost always disappointing. I have assembled many kits for different specific purposes. This is by far the best one I have seen to date. There are a few things this kit does not have. There is no burn cream or ice pack. No tums or Pepto, only loperamide. It has a half pencil but no marker. It has a patient assessment sheet but no notebook. I actually respect them for not including ear plugs.Usually a preassembled kit is basically a bunch of band-aids, most of them far too small to be of any use. This kit has only a few decent sized bandaids. There is plenty of gauze and a full sized roll of medical tape which is much more versatile than pre-sized bandaids so that will come down to preference. There is enough room to add your own specific needs and preferences. This would also work for someone wanting to keep a kit on hand in an office or vehicle to help in the case of emergency.Things that are especially great about this kit:It include one of those awesome metal and foam large bendable splints. It has a comprehensive medical book that is WAY better than any of the tiny pamphlets that are usually included.Actual, real trauma shears.Metal "forceps" that work as actual tweezers instead of those useless, limp-wrist, plastic, pathetic excuses for tweezers that are usually included. (I might be too angry about the plastic tweezers but they are absolutely pointless.)It has a CPR mask with a one way valve. I'm not going to get into the debate of whether or not only chest compressions are the best way to go; just know that the mask is included. The small plastic bags are all waterproof and the large and small nylon bags also keep water out. This could be useful for a beginner with limited medical knowledge. Someone with training could add their own specific, preferred gear and make this epic. The stuff in this pack is all quality. You just have to decide if the convenience of not having to assemble it yourself is worth the price tag.

Six star kit!
I do quite a bit of backpacking and canoe camping. Most of my backpacking trips are solo, while I generally have at least one, if not 2 or 3 other people with me on canoe camping trips. This is an excellent, comprehensive kit for those trips with multiple people on them. It's really nice that they included the smaller, waterproof bag with the larger kit, as when I go on solo trips, I just take that, loaded with much smaller amounts of supplies.I generally do not buy pre-made kits. They often have way too much of the stuff you don't really need, and often have low quality components. This is definitely NOT the case with this kit.All components are well thought out and are of decent quality.Adventure Medical Kits have a reputation for being very high quality. That reputation is well deserved.I would not hesitate to recommend this kit to anyone. It's pretty comprehensive. Very lightweight. And very reasonably priced for what you get.Very, very highly recommended.

A Really Good Kit with A Couple Exceptions
The weight: All together, it weighs 26 ounces, which isn't bad. However, there are things you can remove. The booklet can stay home. I am usually with close friends and family, so I would leave the two CPR masks. Also, I'd leave the scissors, gloves, and emergency blanket (I already have these in my backpack for other reasons). I'm sure you could find other things, but removing these items cut my weight in half (13 ounces). The size: All together, you are looking at 10x7x5". The kit comes with three waterproof bags, so you could rearrange things into two or just one bag. Please note the splint doesn't easily fit in any of these bags. The contents: I think this is a very comprehensive kit and covers the bases fairly well. The two things I would have liked to see are a tourniquet and either QuickClot or an Israeli bandage. The bags: All three bags inside are waterproof. The outside carry bag doesn't look waterproof, but I could be wrong. The price: The price is a stretch, but as I said, it hits practically all the high points. It says it's for 1-10 people for up to 7 days. In my opinion, I think that's a stretch unless incidents are minor with at most 1-2 major issues, but you will probably evac if something major happens. Just my opinion, though.Still a good set. Great flexibility; you can customize it many different ways.
