Worth the extra cash
Bought for Sennheiser HD598 SEAs you can see from my photos, the old earcups were essentially destroyed from years of use. I genuinely loved the old cups, which were spacious and light, and lent themselves to a beautiful "wide" sound, so I've been hesitant to replace them. Unfortunately, the caveat for this is that it made these $300 (now nearly $600) headphones feel a bit "cheap", due to the lack of heft. When I received these cups, I was pleasantly surprised with the build quality. They make this set look more professional, and they are wonderfully comfortable, sealing to the ears nicely, sacrificing only a tiny bit of ear space, which wasn't a problem, even for someone like me, who has relatively large ears. The decision to go with velour material where it contacts your head, while using the leather-like material on the display sides was a thoughtful touch. They also add a small amount of weight to the already incredibly light headset, which is not a wholly unwelcome change. My set certainly looks and feels more like a piece of professional gear, now. These cups do seem to change the sound, mildly, but it's difficult to tell if it's truly much different from the stock cups, or if it's simply because my old cups were so beyond worn out for such a long time that I'm used to it. By no means is it a bad change, however, and I'm confident I'll grow accustomed to it after a break-in period. The biggest difference is in subjectively improved head seal and isolation, which *can* have a negative effect on the overall soundscape and noise fatigue caused by sound pressure for open ear headphones, but this is pretty easily counteracted by reducing volume, and can even aid in finding negative frequencies during EQ sweeps if you're using them for professional audio applications.Installation was dead simple, though I still recommend looking up a tutorial if you've never done this. The hardest part was removing the old pads, during which I nearly destroyed them, however, these new ones snapped right in without so much as a fuss.If you've got the $20 to spare, I'd definitely recommend at the very least giving them a try!

So comfy and love the cooling sensation
Purchased the to replace the more velvety textured cups that came with my Sennheisers. These were super easy to swap out and are equally as comfy. Despite my headphones being open back and having more awareness of my surrounding these do block out external noise a bit more than the original cups which I don't mind. After a few months these have held up great with daily use. Definitely recommend.

Instructions unclear, unable to install PC 37x initially
While the dimensions of the ear pads are the same on the original PC 37X pads, the "hooks" in the back are not. I tried multiple times to install them and couldn't not get them to hook up. EDIT: It seems I did not remove the original ear pads correctly. It broke midway and I had still another ring attached to the headphone. This prevented me from installing it. Removing it made installation a lot easier. The material feels good to touch and to ear. If using it for a long period, expect the material to heat up which is different from the foam of the original material. Sounds were a bit muffled compared to the original ear pads, but if you increase the volume it isn't too noticeable.Overall, it seems to be a good ear pad. Just be wary about the heat during long usage, which is why this isn't my first pick for replacement ear pads.

New life for your 518
Like everyone else with a 518, my ear cup foam has disintegrated and turned to disgusting particulate dust. Sennheiser, of course, barely acknowledges the 518 ever existed, let alone providing parts for it. It looks like if you are really motivated you could potentially get the OEM part from Japan (?!) if there were some way to get them to send it to you. You certainly can't get a compatible part from Sennheiser US or EU. As far as they're concerned... we should just buy new headphones.Well, no. I really like my 518s. Like, a lot. They punch way above their weight for the money, and besides, they were a gift from someone special. I've got plenty of reason to keep them on the road, and if that means aftermarket parts, so be it.I'm happy to report that these pads are totally fine. I know there are some reviews that say they're hot or sweaty, but I'm sensitive to that and haven't had the problem. I know that guy on Reddit said they sounded like he was listening through an empty barrel. I'm not perfect but I've got a keen ear and I think he's just wrong or snobby or having a psychosomatic reaction. These pads are fine. Totally fine. I wear glasses, and they're still fine. I use them for upwards of 5 hours at a time, and they're fine. I have a big head that causes extra tension on the headphones and keeps them tight, and they're FINE.The only problem is *getting the old pads off.* So, these are intended to be a replaceable part (y'know, except for the bit about Sennheiser not offering the part!) so you can pop the pads off. There's a little snap in ring just on the inside of the ear cup. They swear it's there. You just have to get your fingers under there and pull. And I sat there for like 10 minutes and... I dunno, I just couldn't find where this little plastic thing was, and how it snapped out. Maybe my hands are too big or something.I handed the 518s to my wife, who has much much smaller hands, and she handed them back to me in about 30 seconds with the old, nasty, disintegrating ear pads removed properly. I had the new ones—these—snapped in with another 30 seconds of work.Moral of the story: Yes, worth buying. Sound fine. Comfort fine. Hard to get the old skanky foam off there. Easy to install afterwards.

Comfortable, easy to clean, long lasting (Linen - Dark Grey)
I've been using these daily for several months and they have held up remarkably well. They are bigger and squishier than the stock pads, and are just as relatively easy to install and clean. Note that if you have skin on the oilier side, these WILL eventually get inundated with skin oil to the point they will be uncleanable and need to be replaced - but that is a problem shared between all cloth ear pads.

Better than OEM.
The ones with cooling gel are just higher quality than the OEM ones. At least the ones I got with my epos zero and epos one. They still transfer heat away even if you don't add water and audio wise I prefer these over OEM.Highly recommended.

HD 569
