a great re-anactment, looks so realistic
a great movie, so realistic of the true events, unbelievable to think that those 16 guys survived that ordeal, but the director frank marshall, whos better known as 1 of steven spielbergs co-producers along with kathleen kennedy who also produces this movie, these 2 go it alone on this movie without the great spielbergs help yet frank marshall directs it in a way thats so believable, there aint no green screens at the crash site, its all shot outside in the canadian rockies & the actors had to bare the cold for real, thez no CGI or studio work after the plane crashes. watching this movie you really feel for these guys & you cant help get overwhelmed by what they achieved, this is survival at its most extreme, ethan hawke is just fantastic as the only well known actor in the movie even thou jose zuniga has a small role as the planes mechanic. if you liked titanic then you will love this, a disaster/survival movie for all the family.

True story wasted
I felt this was a good true story film wasted on bad acting, B List film i call this, i felt the film could have been made better, in a way that they all helped out to try survive, try different ways of getting help, i felt the film was making out people to be self shish....its a shame would've been a good film to watch again and again, but not in my case

Good film
Arrived on time. Good film, with dramatic special effects. I remember when it all happened back in 1972. The film gave us a good insight of what lengths we will go to to stay alive.
