I was in one of those situations. Pay £35 for something supposedly better or £12 for something that might be rubbish. Along with the phrase, you get what you pay for ringing in my ears plus the knowledge that Raleigh isn't what it used to be!Got them, put them on easily enough. The bearings seemed a bit stiff but the will loosen up with use pretty quickly. Look well made and nice toe clips. But best of all I felt I was getting great power transfer .when I was pedalling.

When my pedals broke while cleaning my bike on a Monday night, I thought 'Crap'. I was doing a charity bike ride at the weekend (127 miles along Leeds Liverpool canal) so needed some quickly.I've been using toe clip pedals for years and prefer the adjustmennt in them compared to the either 'on or off' of the cleated type.These, to be honest, wer the only pedals I found that came with clips and straps. But they looked decent, made by a reasonable brand and had good reviews so I orderedt them on Monday night.To my relief they arrived on Wednesday (thank you Rutland cycles).They went on fine but I noticed that the bearing in one wasn't as smooth as the other, which is the reason for deducting a star from the rating. But once on, they wer fine.Another reviewer mentioned that the clips were a bit squished and were a little difficult to get his feet onto. I stuffed a tea towel into each one the night before the ride. This did the trick as I had little problems getting my feet on them (I'm a size 9).To summarise: decent pedals, good value, quick deliver = happy cyclist.

As mentioned elsewhere - the toe clips themselves are marked as large and this isn't stated in the description. A size option isn't offered (but ought to be in my opinion) and on my bike's small (54 cm) frame the clips foul the front wheel. The problem is with the length of the toe clip and not the pedals themselves - I can vouch for their serviceability having had many pairs over the decades

Seem good pedals. Easy to fit. Toe cages were very crushed and had to be opened up using walking boots on arrival
